Check that the wipers can oper- a t e f r e e l y i n f r e e z i n g t e m p e r a -tures.
Remove any accumulation of snow at the base of the wind-screen.
Changing the wiper blades
If changing t h e w i p e r b l a d e s , t h e y m u s t b e s t o p p e d in the mainte-nance position . F o r t h i s , s w i t c h o f f t h e i g n i t i o n a n d t h e n w i t h i n o n e m i n u t e m o v e t h e w i p e r c o n t r o l s t a l k . T h e w i p e r s s t a n d u p v e r t i - c a l l y .
A f t e r r e p l a c e m e n t , switch on the ignition a n d move the wiper control stalk s o t h a t t h e w i p e r s r e s u m e t h e i r n o r m a l p o s i t i o n .
