Coolant temperature gauge
With the needle or indicator in zone A, the temperature
is correct.
If the needle or indicator enters zone B, the temperature
is too high. The central STOP alert warning lamp and
the engine coolant level or temperature warning lamp
both light up, accompanied by an audible signal and a
message on the multifunction screen.
It is essential to stop the vehicle. 1 - Low fuel level
warning
If the warning lamp comes
on, accompanied by a mes-
sage on the MULTIFUNC-
TION DISPLAY, you still
have fuel suficient for ap -
prox. 30 miles.
If it lashes, this indicates
a malfunctioning of the fuel
gauge.
Consult your CITROËN
dealer.
2 - Coolant temperature warning lamp
The STOP warning lamp
lashes when the coolant
temperature warning lamp
is lit.
The lighting of this warning
lamp is accompanied by an
audible signal and a mes-
sage on the MULTIFUNC-
TION DISPLAY.
It is essential to stop the vehicle, contact a CITROËN

Follow the recommendations
in the Maintenance Guide.
When working under the bonnet, the cooling fan could
operate if the power unit is hot (even when switched off).
The engine oil level should be checked frequently
between services (as recommended by the manufacturer), as well as before long journeys.
Engine coolant
The coolant level should
be between the
MAX and
MIN marks on the header
tank.
If the engine is hot, wait
15 minutes.

Never work on the cooling
system if the engine is hot. (See

ving been switched off for at least
15 minutes.

A - Windscreen and rear

When looking under the bonnet, with the engine hot,
even if stopped and the ignition switched off, the cooling fan may operate at any time.
B - Radiator - coolant
Checking the level and topping up must always be done
with the engine cold.
Engine hot:
Remove the protection cover. Wait ifteen minutes or
until the temperature is well below 100° C, then carefull
y
unscrew the cap to allow the pressure to drop, protecting
yourself with a cloth, for example.
Topping up the cooling system
The coolant level should be between the MIN and MAX marks on t he
header tank.
Top up the level. If you have to add more than 1 litre, h ave the cooling
system checked by a CITROËN dealer.
Fully secure the cap.
Note: The need to top up the coolant frequently is an indicat ion of a
malfunction, which you should have checked at the earliest op portunity.
Note: the cooling fan may operate for some ten minutes after the e ngine
has stopped.
