Remote control key System which permits central unlocking or locking of the vehicle using the lock or from a distance. It is also used to locate and start the vehicle, as well as providing protection against theft.

Locking is confirmed by fixed lighting of
the direction indicators for approximately
two seconds.

Turn the key to the right in the driver’s door lock to unlock the vehicle.

Practical information











Battery
Procedure for charging your battery when it is flat or for starting the engine using another battery.
The battery is located under the bonnet.To gain access to it:
)
open the bonnet using the interior releaselever, then the exterior safety catch,)
secure the bonnet stay, )
lift the plastic cover on the (+) terminal.

Connect the red cable to the positive
terminal (+) of the flat battery A, then to the
positive terminal (+) of the slave battery B.

Starting using another
batter

After refitting the battery by a CITROËN dealer or a qualifiedworkshop, the Stop & Star t system will only be active after a continuousperiod of immobilisation of the vehicle,a period which depends on the climaticconditions and the state of charge of
the battery (up to about 8 hours).
The presence of this label, in particular with the Stop & Start system, indicatesthe use of a 12 V lead-acid battery withspecial technology and specification;
the involvement of a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop is essential when replacing or disconnectingthe battery.
Failure to observe this recommendation may cause premature wear of the battery.

Connect one end of the green or blackcable to the negative terminal (-) of the slave battery B
. )
Connect the other end of the green or black cable to the remote negative terminal (-) of your vehicle.

)Start the slave vehicle.)Operate the star ter of the broken down
vehicle and let the engine run.)Wait until the engine returns to idle anddisconnect the cables.

Charging the battery using
a battery charger

Batteries contain harmful substancessuch as sulphuric acid and lead. Theymust be disposed of in accordancewith regulations and must not, in anycircumstances, be discarded with household waste. Ta k e used remote control batteries andvehicle batteries to a special collectionpoint.

Follow the instructions for use provided bythe manufacturer of the charger.
Do not disconnect the battery to charge it.
Do not push the vehicle to star tthe engine if your vehicle is fitted with an electronic gearbox.
