Fuel tank Capacity of the tank: approximately 60 litres.
Low fuel level
Refuelling
Additions of fuel must be of at least 5 litres to be registered by the fuel gauge. Opening the filler cap may result in an inrush of air. This vacuum is entirely normal and results
from the sealing of the fuel system.
 Press control A until the automatic opening of the fuel flap is heard. This control remains active for a few minutes after switching off the ignition. If necessary, switch the ignition on again to reactivate it.  Take care to select the pump that delivers the correct fuel for your vehicle.
 Introduce the nozzle so as to push in the metal non-return flap B.  Make sure that the nozzle is pushed in as far as possible before star ting to refuel (risk of blowback).  Maintain this position while refuelling.  Push the fuel flap to close it. If you are filling your tank to the top, do not persist after the third cut- off; this could cause your vehicle to malfunction.
When the low fuel level in the tank is reached, this warning lamp on
the instrument panel comes on, accompanied by an audible warning and a message in the screen. When it first comes on, around 6 litres of fuel remain in the tank. You must refuel as soon as possible to avoid running out.
With Stop & Star t, never refuel with the system in STOP mode; you must switch off the ignition with the key.

Advice on child seats
The incorrect installation of a child seat in a vehicle compromises the child's protection in the event of an accident. Remember to fasten the seat belts or the child seat harnesses keeping the slack relative to the child's body to a minimum, even for shor t journeys. When installing a child seat using the seat belt, ensure that the seat belt is tightened correctly on the child seat and that it secures the child seat firmly on the seat of your vehicle. Move the seat for wards if necessary. For optimum installation of the "for wards-facing" child seat, ensure that the back of the child seat is in contact with the back of the vehicle's seat and that the head restraint does not cause any discomfor t. If the head restraint has to be removed, ensure that it is stored or attached securely to prevent it from being thrown around the vehicle in the event of sharp braking.
Children under the age of 10 must not travel in the "for wards-facing" position on the front passenger seat, unless the rear seats are already occupied by other children, cannot be used or are absent. Deactivate the passenger airbag when a "rear wards-facing" child seat is installed on the front seat. Other wise, the child would risk being seriously injured or killed if the airbag were to inflate.
Installing a booster seat
The chest par t of the seat belt must be positioned on the child's shoulder without touching the neck.
Ensure that the lap par t of the seat belt passes correctly over the child's thighs. CITROËN recommends the use of a booster seat which has a back, fitted with a seat belt guide at shoulder level.
As a safety precaution, do not leave: - a child or children alone and unsuper vised in a vehicle, - a child or an animal in a vehicle which is exposed to the sun, with the windows closed, - the keys within reach of children inside the vehicle. To prevent accidental opening of the doors
and rear windows, use the "Child lock". Take care not to open the rear windows by more than one third. To protect young children from the rays of the sun, fit side blinds on the rear windows.

Electric child lock Remote control system to prevent opening of the rear doors using their interior controls and use of the rear electric windows . The control is located on the dashboard, driver’s side.
Switching on
 Press this button. The indicator lamp in the button comes on, accompanied by a message in the screen. This indicator lamp remains on until the child lock is switched off.
Switching off
 Press this button again. The indicator lamp on button A goes off, accompanied by a message in the screen. This indicator lamp remains on while child lock is switched on.
This system is independent and in no circumstances does it take the place of
the central locking control. Check the status of the child lock each time you switch on the ignition. Always remove the key from the ignition when leaving the vehicle, even for a shor t time. In the event of a serious impact, the electric child lock is switched off automatically to permit the exit of the rear passengers.
Any other status of the indicator lamp indicates a fault with the electric child lock. Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

183Safety
Deactivation
Only the passenger's front airbag can be deactivated:  with the ignition off , inser t the key in the n offpassenger airbag deactivation switch,  turn it to the "OFF" position,  then, remove the key keeping the switch in the new position.
According to version, this warning lamp comes on either in the instrument panel or in the seat belt and passenger's front airbag warning lamps display when the ignition is on and until the airbag is reactivated.
To assure the safety of your child, the passenger's front airbag must be deactivated when you install a "rear facing" child seat on the front
passenger seat. Other wise, the child would risk being seriously injured or killed if the airbag were deployed.
Reactivation
When you remove the child seat, turn the switch to the "ON" position to reactivate the airbag and so assure the safety of your front passenger in the event of an impact.
With the ignition on, this warning
lamp comes on in the seat belt and passenger's front airbag warning lamps display for approximately one minute, if the passenger's front airbag is activated.
Operating fault
If this warning lamp flashes, contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop. The passenger’s front airbag may no longer be deployed in the event of a serious impact.
If even one of the two airbag warning
lamps comes on continuously, do not install a child seat on the front passenger seat. Have the system checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
If this warning lamp comes on in the instrument panel, accompanied by an audible warning and a message in the screen, contact a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop to have the system checked. The airbags may no longer be deployed in the event of a serious impact.

Stop & Start The Stop & Star t system puts the engine temporarily on standby - STOP mode - during stops in the traffic (red lights, traffic jams, or other...). The engine restar ts automatically - START mode - as soon as y ou want to move off. The restar t takes place instantly, quickly and silently. Per fect for urban use, the Stop & Star t system reduce s fuel consumption and exhaust emissions as well as the noise level when stationary.
Operation
Going into engine STOP mode
With the automatic gearbox system, for your comfor t during parking maoeuvres, STOP mode is not available for a few seconds after coming out of reverse gear. STOP mode does not affect the functionality of the vehicle, such as braking, power steering, for example.
Never refuel with the engine in STOP mode; you must switch off the ignition with the key.
The "ECO" warning lamp comes on in the instrument panel and the engine goes into standby:
- with a manual gearbox , at speeds below 12 mph (20 km/h), when you put the gear lever into neutral and release the clutch pedal, - with the 6-speed electronic gearbox system , at a speed below 5 mph (8 km/h),
when you press the brake pedal or put the gear lever into position N .
If your vehicle is fitted with the system, a time counter calculates the sum of the periods in STOP mode during a journey. It resets itself to zero every time the ignition is switched on with the key.
STOP mode is not invoked when: - the driver's door is open, - the driver's seat belt is not fastened, - the vehicle has not exceeded 6 mph (10 km/h) since the last engine start using the key, - the electric parking brake is applied or being applied, - the engine is needed to maintain a comfor table temperature in the passenger compar tment, - demisting is active, - some special conditions (battery charge, engine temperature, braking assistance, ambient temperature...) where the engine is needed to assure control of a system.
Special cases:STOP mode unavailable
In this case, the "ECO" warning lamp flashes for a few seconds, then goes off. This operation is per fectly normal.
