Central locking control
Automatic central locking of the
doors
(anti-intrusion security)
The doors and boot can lock automatically while driving (speed above 6 mph (10 km/h)).
To activate or deactivate this function (activated
by default:
If the vehicle is deadlocked or locked from the outside, the button is not active. In this case, use the remote control to unlock the vehicle or pull an interior door handle to open a door.
If one of the doors is open, central locking from the inside does not take place.
Driving with the doors locked may make access to the passenger compar tment by the emergency ser vices more difficult in an emergency.
)Operate the button.
This allows the doors and the boot to be locked or unlocked.
) Operate this button until
a message appears in the
instrument panel screen.

Transporting long or voluminousobjectsIf you want to drive with the boot open,
press the central locking control button to lock the doors.

Emergency control
System allowing the doors to be locked and
unlocked manually in the event of a malfunctionof the central locking system or battery failure.

Locking the driver's door
)
Inser t the key in the door lock, then turn it
to the rear.
You can also apply the procedure described for
the passenger doors.

Unlocking the driver's door
)
Inser t the key in the door lock, then turn it
to the front.

passenger doors
)Open the doors. )On the rear doors, check that the child lockis not on (see Child Safety). )Remove the black cap, located on the edge
of the door, using the key.)Insert the key in the socket without forcing it, then without turning it, move the latch
sideways towards the inside of the door. )Remove the key and refit the cap. )Close the doors and check that the vehiclehas locked correctly from the outside.

Boot
)After unlocking the boot or the vehicle
using the electronic key - remote control,press the opening control then raise the
tailgate.

Opening from outside

Press this button until the boot is heard to unlock.

Tailgate release


Unlocking
)
Fold back the rear seats to gain access to
the lock from inside the boot. ) Insert a small screwdriver into hole Aof thelock to unlock the tailgate. )
Move the latch to the left.
System allowing the mechanical unlocking of
the boot in the event of a battery or central
locking system malfunction.

Locking after closing

If the fault persists after closing again, the boot
will remain locked.
Closing
) Lower the tailgate using the interior grab
handle.

f the tailgate is not closed correctly, engine runningor vehicle moving(speed above6 mph (10 km/h)), a message appears in the instrument panel screen for a few seconds.

System which protects and provides a deterrentagainst theft and break-ins. It provides the
following types of monitoring:






Alarm
- Exterior perimeter
The system checks for opening of the vehicle.
The alarm is triggered if anyone tries to open adoor, the boot or the bonnet...


- Interior volumetric
The system checks for any variation in the
volume in the passenger compartment.
The alarm is triggered if anyone breaks a window, enters the passenger compartmentor moves inside the vehicle.

- Tilt

The system checks for any change in the attitude of the vehicle.
The alarm is triggered if the vehicle is lifted,
moved or knocked.


Self-protection function
The system checks for the putting out of ser vice of its components. The alarm is triggered if the battery, the button or the wires of the siren are put out of ser vice or damaged.

For all work on the alarm system, contact a CITROËN dealer or aqualified workshop.


Locking the vehicle with full
alarm system

Activation
)Switch off the ignition and get out of the vehicle.
)
Press the locking button on theremote control or lock the vehicle
using the Keyless Entry and Star ting system. The monitoring system is active: the indicator
lam
p in the button flashes once per second.

After the locking button on the remote control
is pressed or the vehicle locked using the
Keyless Entry and Star ting system, the exterior perimeter monitoring is activated after a delay
of 5 seconds, the interior volumetric monitoring after 45 seconds and the anti-tilt after one minute and 30 seconds.
If an opening (door, boot...) is not closed fully, the vehicle is not locked but the exterior perimeter monitoring will be activated after
a delay of 45 seconds.
) Press the unlocking button on
the remote control or unlock the
vehicle using the Keyless Entryand Star ting system.

Deactivation of the volumetric monitoring
The volumetric protection system is deactivated: the indicator lamp in the
button goes off.

Locking the vehicle

monitoring only
Deactivate the interior volumetric and anti-liftmonitoring to avoid unwanted triggering of the alarm in certain cases such as:


- leaving a window par tially open,

- washing your vehicle,

- changing a wheel,

- having your vehicle towed,

- transportation by sea.


Deactivation of the interior volumetric and anti-tilt monitoring
)
Switch of the ignition and within
ten seconds, press this button
until the indicator lamp is on
continuously.) Get out of the vehicle.
)
Press the locking button on
the remote control immediatelyor lock the vehicle using the
Keyless Entry and Starting system.
The exterior perimeter monitorin
g alone is
activated: the indicator lamp in the button
flashes once per second.
To be effective, this deactivation must be carried out each time the ignition is switched off.
Reactivation of the interior volumetric and anti-tilt monitoring
Tr iggering of the alarm
This is indicated by sounding of the siren and flashing of the direction indicators for
thirty seconds.
The monitoring
functions remain active until
the alarm has been triggered eleven times in
succession.
)Press the unlocking button on
the remote control or unlock thevehicle using the Keyless Entry
and Star ting system to deactivate
the exterior perimeter monitoring.
)Press the locking button on the
remote control or lock the vehicleusing the Keyless Entry and Starting system to activate all the monitoring functions.

The indicator lamp in the button
again flashes once per second.

When the vehicle is unlocked usin
gthe remote control or unlocked
using the Keyless Entry and Starting
system, rapid flashing of the indicator lamp in the button informs you that the alarmwas triggered during your absence. When
the ignition is switched on, this flashing stopsimmediately.

Failure of the remote control

To deactivate the monitoring functions:
)
Unlock the vehicle using the key (integral with
the remote control) in the driver's door lock. ) Open the door; the alarm is triggered. )
Switch on the ignition; the alarm stops. The
indicator lamp in the button goes off.

Locking the vehicle without
activating the alarm
)
Lock or deadlock the vehicle using the key (integral with the remote control) in thedriver's door lock.




Operating fault


When the ignition is switched on, fixed
illumination of the indicator lamp in the button
indicates a fault in the system.
Have it checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.

Automatic activation *

2 minutes after the last door or the boot is closed, the system is activated automatically. )
To avoid triggering the alarm on enteringthe vehicle, first press the unlocking button on the remote control or unlock the vehicleusing the Keyless Entry and Star ting system.

Manual operation
To open or close the window, press or pull theswitch gently. The window stops as soon as theswitch is released.
Automatic o
peration
To open or close the window, press or pull
switch fully: the window opens or closes completely when the switch is released.
Pressing the switch again stops the movement of the window.
The electric window switches remain
operational for approximately 45 seconds after switching off the ignition.
Once this time has elapsed, the electric
windows will not operate. To reactivate them,
switch the ignition on again.

Safety anti-pinch

When the window rises and meets an obstacle, it stops and immediately partially lowers again.
In the event o
f unwanted opening of the
window on closing, press the switch until the
window opens completely, then pull the switch
immediatel
y until the window closes. Continue
to hold the switch for approximately one secondafter the window has closed.
The safety anti-pinch function is not active
during this operation.

Deactivating the rear window controls
Reinitialisation of the
electric windows


In the event of contact during operationof the windows, you must reverse themovement of the window. To do this,press the switch concerned.
When operating the passenger electricwindow switches, the driver mustensure that no one is preventing correct closing of the windows. The driver must ensure that the passengers use the electric windows correctly.
Be aware of children when operatingthe windows.
Be aware of passengers or other persons present when closing the
windows using the the electronic key or the "Access and Starting Hands Free"system.
Followin
g reconnection of the battery, the
safety anti-pinch function must be reinitialised.
The safety anti-pinch function is not active
during these operations:
- lower the window completely, then raise
it, it will rise in ste
ps of a few centimetreseach time the switch is pressed. Repeat
the operation until the window closes
completely,
- continue to press the switch for at least
one second a
fter reaching this position,
window closed.
For the safety of your children, pressswitch 5to prevent operation of the rear windows irrespective of their position.
The warnin
g lamp in the button comes on,
accompanied by a message confirmingactivation. It remains on, as long as the child
lock is activated.
The interior controls for the rear doors are also deactivated.
Opening the doors from the outside and
operation of the rear electric windows from the
driver's controls remain possible.

Cockpit glass roof
A tinted glass panoramic sur face to increase
the light and visibility in the passenger compartment. Fitted with three electric blinds to improve
tem
perature and noise related comfort. There are two options for openin
g and closing:


Electric blinds
)Pull or press control, going beyond the point of resistance.
One press opens or closes the blind
completely.
After a new action on the the control, the
blind continues moving for around 2 cm,
then stops.
) Pull or press the control without going
beyond the point of resistance (forwards to close and rear wards to open).
When you release the control, the blindcontinues moving for around 2 cm, thenstops.

Safety anti-pinch
If the blind stops and immediately opens again
during a closing manoeuvre: ) operate the control until the blind is fully
open,
) then operate the control until the blind isfully closed. The safety anti-pinch function is notoperational during these operations.


If the blind meets an obstacle during operation, you must reverse themovement of the blind. To do this, press the control concerned. When the driver operates the blind control, they must ensure that no one ispreventing correct closing of the blind.
The driver must ensure that passengersuse the blind correctly.
Be aware of children when operatingthe blind.


Reinitialisation

If power to the blind is cut off while it is moving,
the safety anti-pinch must be reinitialised:)operate the control until the blind is fullyclosed,)continue to press for at least 3 seconds. A slight movement of the blind will then be
noticeable, confirming the reinitialisation.
In automatic mode and at the end of its travel,
if the blind meets an obstacle while closin
g it stops and moves back slightly.

Fuel tank Capacity of the tank: approximately 60 litres.

Additions of fuel must be of at least 5 litres to be registered by the fuel gauge.
Opening the filler cap may result in an inrush of
air. This vacuum is entirely normal and results from the sealing of the fuel system.) Take care to select the pump that delivers
the correct fuel type for your vehicle'sengine (reminder on a label on the inside of
the filler flap).) Open the filler cap by turning it a 1/4 turn to
the left. ) Remove the filler cap and hang it on itscarrier (on the filler flap).
Opening
If you have put in the wrong fuel for
your vehicle, you must have have the tank drained and refilled with the correct fuel before you star t theengine.
With Stop & Star t, never refuel with the system in STOP mode; you must switch off the ignition with the START/STOP button.


Refuelling
)Introduce the nozzle and push it in fully(pushing open the non-return valve A
onpetrol vehicles). )Fill the tank (don't continue past the thirdcut-off of the nozzle, as this may causemalfunctions).)Refit the filler cap turning it a 1/4 turn to the right. )Push the filler flap to close it.

Your vehicle is
fitted with a catalytic converter
which reduces harmful emissions in theexhaust gas.
The filler neck is narrower and allows onlypetrol nozzles to be used.
For a petrol engine, the use of unleaded fueliscompulsory.
)Press the switch.
This switch remains active for a few minutesafter switching off the ignition. If necessary,switch the ignition on again to reactivate it.
