To improve the seat configuration in the vehicle, the rear seats are
modular and can be moved individually. (See “Rear seats”):
- The rear seats are on slides.
- The backrests can be folded down onto the seat cushions.

The front passenger’s airbag can
be deactivated
Note:The use of the seat belt is ob-
ligatory.
Never deactivate the passenger’s
airbag when a passenger is
present (except when a rear- facing
child seat is fitted). Passenger’s airbag deactiva-
tion
To be able to use a rear-facing
child seat in the front passenger’s
seat position, it is essential to deac-
tivate the passenger’s airbag.
To do so, with the ignition switched
off:
- Insert the ignition key into the con-
trol switch A.
- Turn the key to the “OFF”posi-
tion, the passenger airbag is then
deactivated.
The front passenger airbag deacti-
vation warning lamp, in the instru-
ment panel, will remain
permanently lit after ignition is
switched on. To restore operation of the front
passenger’s airbag
Do not forget to reactivate the pas-
senger’s airbag. To do so, with the
ignition switched off:
- Insert the ignition key into the con-
trol switch A.
- Turn it to the “ON”position, the
airbag is activated.
The warning lamp on the instru-
ment panel lights up for a few sec-
onds after the ignition is switched
on.
In the front passenger’s seat, it is essential to deactivate the
front passenger’s airbag as soon as a “rear- facing” child se at
is installed in this position. Otherwise the child risks bei ng killed
or seriously injured should the airbag deploy.
