Night driving control
Functions illuminated:
- Speed indicator.
- Warning lamps.
- Fuel gauge (if the level is lower than a third of a tank full).
The other functions are not illumi-
nated.
Note:
The functions are automatically illu-
minated if:
- there are warning messages.
- one of the display controls is pressed.
- the radio is selected. Coolant temperature gauge
Coolant temperature warning lamp
In normal weather conditions, it indicates a temperature of
up to 100°C.
In severe use conditions, and in hot weather, it may enter the red area.
If the red warning lamp lights up, stop immediately, switch o ff the ignition,the
cooling fan may continue to operate for a certain time , Leave the en-
gine to cool down, taking the precautions indicated in chapt er - Maintenance
- “Levels and checks”.
Contact a CITROËN dealer.
If the warning lamp comes while driving, stop the engine. Che ck the oil level
(refer to section IV - Maintenance - “Levels, checks”).
If it remains on, despite the oil level being correct, contac t the nearest
CITROËN dealer.

2 - HOURS a short press of button B: changing the hours (from “0”to“11” hours (AM/PM) or from “0”to“23” hours).
A short press of button A, accesses:
3 - MINUTES a short press of button B: changing the minutes (from “0”to“59” minutes).
A short press of button A, accesses:
4 - YEAR a short press of button B: change of year ( “2005”,“2006” , etc.).
A short press of button A, accesses:
5 - MONTH a short press of button B: changing the month (from “1”to“12” ).
A short press of button A, accesses:
6 - DAY
a short press of button B: changing the days (from “1”to“31” ).

Temperature
When temperature is between +3°C and - 3°C, the temperature d isplay flashes (risk of ice).
Note: Temperature displayed may be higher than the actual tempera ture when the vehicle is parked in sunshine.

The trip computer provides 6 different types of informationon the dis-
play above the instrument panel.
• Range.
• Distance travelled.
• Average fuel consumption.
• Instantaneous fuel consumption.
• Average speed.
• Overspeed warning.
To select the different types of information and displays, b riefly press the end
of the windscreen wiper control.
Range
Indicates the range remaining using the fuel left in the tank (calculated as a function of the
average consumption during the last 10 minutes).
When the quantity of fuel in the tank is less than 3 litres, the display will show 3 segments
only.
After resetting the computer, the indication of remaining r ange is only reliable after the vehicle has been used for a cer -
tain time.

Distance travelled
It indicates the distance travelled since the trip computerwas last reset to zero.
Average fuel consumption
The average fuel consumption is calculated from the last res et of the computer.
Instantaneous fuel consumption
The fuel consumption of the last 2 second period is displayed . This function is only available at
speeds above 20 km/h (approx. 13 mph).
Average speed
The average speed is obtained, from the last reset of the comp uter, by dividing the distance
covered by the time taken (ignition on).
