settings are restored, a pop up appears statingsettings
reset to default.
Clear Personal Data
After pressing the “Clear Personal Data Settings” button
on the touchscreen the following settings will be avail-
able:
• Clear Personal Data
When this feature is selected it will remove personal data
including Bluetooth devices and presets. To remove
personal information, press the “Clear Personal Data”
button and a pop-up will appear asking Are you sure
you want to clear all personal data?” select “Yes” to Clear,
or “Cancel” to exit. Once the data has been cleared, a pop
up appears stating Personal data cleared”.
System Information
After pressing the “System Information” button on the
touchscreen the following information will be available:
•System Information
When System Information is selected, a System Informa-
tion screen will appear displaying the system software
version.
Customer Programmable Features —
Uconnect 8.4 Personal Settings
Press the “Apps” or the “Controls” button on the touch-
screen, then press the “Settings” button on the touchscreen
to display the menu setting screen. In this mode the
Uconnect system allows you to access programmable fea-
tures that may be equipped such as Display, Voice, Clock,
Safety & Driving Assistance, Lights, Doors & Locks,
Auto-On Comfort, Engine Off Options, Audio, Phone/
Bluetooth, SiriusXM Setup, Restore Settings, Clear Personal
Data, and System Information.

Steering Wheel With Vehicle Start” button on the touch-
screen, then select either “Off,” “Remote Start” or “All
Starts” until a check-mark appears next to setting, show-
ing that setting has been selected.
Engine Off Options
After pressing the Engine Off Options button on the
touchscreen the following settings will be available.
•Easy Entry/Exit Seat — If Equipped
This feature provides automatic driver seat positioning to
enhance driver mobility when entering and exiting the
vehicle. To make your selection, press the “Easy Exit
Seat” button on the touchscreen until a check-mark
appears next to setting, showing that setting has been
selected. •
Engine Off Power Delay
When this feature is selected, the power window
switches, radio, Uconnect phone system (if equipped),
DVD video system (if equipped), power sunroof (if
equipped), and power outlets will remain active for up to
10 minutes after the ignition is cycled to OFF. Opening
either front door will cancel this feature. To change the
Engine Off Power Delay status press the press the “+” or
“-” button to choose from “0 seconds,” “45 seconds,”
“5 minutes,” or “10 minutes.”
• Headlight Off Delay
When this feature is selected, the driver can choose to
have the headlights remain on for 0, 30, 60, or 90 seconds
when exiting the vehicle. To change the Headlight Off
Delay status press the “+” or “-” button on the touch-
screen to select your desired time interval.4

•Loudness — If Equipped
Loudness improves sound quality at lower volumes. To
make your selection, press the “Loudness” button on the
touchscreen, then choose “Yes” or “No.”
Phone/Bluetooth
After pressing the “Phone/Bluetooth” button on the
touchscreen the following settings will be available:
• Paired Phones
This feature shows which phones are paired to the
Phone/Bluetooth system. For further information, refer
to the “Uconnect Supplement Manual.”
• Paired Audio Sources
This feature shows which audio devices are paired to the
Phone/Bluetooth system. For further information, refer
to the “Uconnect Supplement Manual.”
SiriusXM Setup — If Equipped
After pressing the “SiriusXM Setup” button on the touch-
screen, the following settings will be available:
• Tune Start
Tune Start begins playing the current song from the
beginning when you tune to a music channel using one of
the twelve presets, so you can enjoy the complete song.
This feature occurs the first time the preset is selected
during that current song. Tune Start works in the back-
ground, so you will not even realize it’s on, except that
you will miss the experience of joining your favorite song
with only a few seconds left to play. To make your
selection, press the “Tune Start” button on the touch-
screen, select “On” or “Off.”

iPod/USB/MP3 CONTROL — IF EQUIPPED
This feature allows an iPod or external USB device to be
plugged into the USB port, located in the lower section of
the front integrated center stack, in front of the rotary
shifter.
iPod control supports Mini, 4G, Photo, Nano, 5G iPod
and iPhone devices. Some iPod software versions may
not fully support the iPod control features. Please visit
Apple’s website for software updates.

UCONNECT MULTIMEDIA — VIDEO
ENTERTAINMENT SYSTEM (VES) — IF EQUIPPED
Your rear seat Video Entertainment System (VES) is
designed to give your family years of enjoyment. You can
play your favorite CDs or DVDs, listen to audio over the
wireless headphones, or plug and play a variety of
standard video games or audio devices. Please review
this Owner’s Manual to become familiar with its features
and operation.

Getting Started
•Screen(s) located in the rear of front seats: Open the
LCD screen cover by lifting up on cover.
• Cycle the ignition to the ON or ACC position. •
Your vehicle may be equipped with a Blu-Ray Disc
Player. If equipped with a Blu-Ray Disc Player, the
icon will be present on the Player.
• Turn on the Rear Seat Entertainment system by press-
ing the Power button on the remote control.
• When the Video Screen(s) are open and a DVD/Blu-
Ray Disc is inserted into the VES player, the screen(s)
turn(s) ON automatically, the headphone transmitters
turn ON and playback begins.
• For Dual Video Screen System, Rear 1 on the Remote
Control and Headphones refers to Screen 1 (driver’s
side) and Rear 2 on the Remote Control and Head-
phones refers to Screen 2 (passenger’s side).
• The system can be controlled by the front seat occu-
pants using either the touch-screen- radio, or by the
rear seat occupants using the remote control.

Blu-ray Disc Player
Play A Blu-Ray Disc
The Blu-Ray player is located in the center console.1. Insert a Blu-ray disc into the VES disc player with the
label facing as indicated on the Blu-ray player. The
radio automatically selects the appropriate mode after
the disc is recognized and displays the menu screen,
the language screen, or starts playing the first track.
2. To watch a Blu-ray disc on Rear 1 for driver’s side rear passengers, ensure the Remote Control and Head-
phone switch is on Rear 1.
3. To watch a Blu-ray disc on Rear 2 for passenger side rear passengers, ensure the Remote Control and Head-
phone switch is on Rear 2.
NOTE:
• To view a Blu-ray disc on the radio press the MEDIA
soft-key on the radio touchscreen, then touch the disc
soft-key. Press the Play soft-key, then the FULL
SCREEN soft-key.

•Viewing a Blu-ray disc on the Touch-Screen radio
screen is not available in all states/provinces, and the
vehicle must be stopped, and the shift lever must be in
the PARK position for vehicles with automatic trans-
mission. In vehicles with manual transmission the
parking brake must be engaged.
DVD Player
Play A DVD
1. Insert a DVD into the VES disc player with the label facing as indicated on the DVD player. The radio
automatically selects the appropriate mode after the
disc is recognized and displays the menu screen, or
starts playing the first track.
2. To watch a DVD on Rear 1 for driver’s side rear passengers, ensure the Remote Control and Head-
phone switch is on Rear 1. 3. To watch a DVD on Rear 2 for passenger side rear
passengers, ensure the Remote Control and Head-
phone switch is on Rear 2.
NOTE:
• To view a DVD on the radio press the MEDIA soft-key
on the radio touchscreen, then touch the disc soft-key.
Press the Play soft-key, then the FULL SCREEN soft-
key.
• Viewing a DVD on the Touch-Screen radio screen is
not available in all states/provinces, and the vehicle
must be stopped, and the shift lever must be in the
PARK position for vehicles with automatic transmis-
sion. In vehicles with manual transmission the parking

NOTE:
•Touching the screen on a Touch-Screen radio while a
DVD is playing brings up basic remote control func-
tions for DVD play such as scene selection, Play, Pause,
FF, RW, and Stop. Pressing the X in the upper corner
will turn off the remote control screen functions.
Play Video Games
Connect the video game console to the Auxiliary RCA/
HDMI input jacks located on the side of each seat.
Audio/Video RCA/HDMI Jacks
(AUX/HDMI Jacks) on the side of
each seat enable the monitor to display
video directly from a video camera,
connect video games for display on
the screen, or play music directly from
an MP3 player. When connecting an external source to the AUX/HDMI
input, be sure to follow the standard color coding for the
VES jacks:
1. Video in (yellow)
2. Left audio in (white)
3. Right audio in (red)
NOTE:
Certain high-end video game consoles will ex-
ceed the power limit of the vehicle’s Power Inverter.
Refer to the Power Inverter section in your vehicle’s
Owner’s Manual for more information.
Ensure the Remote Control and Headphone switch is on
Channel 1.

Dual Video Screen
NOTE:Typically there are two different ways to operate
the features of the Video Entertainment System (VES).
• The Remote Control
• The Touch-Screen Radio (If Equipped)
Play A DVD Using The VES Player (If Equipped)
1. Insert the DVD with the label facing up. The VES
player automatically selects the appropriate mode
after the disc is recognized and starts playing the
DVD. NOTE:
The VES player has basic DVD control function
such as Menu, Play, Pause, FF, RW and Stop.
2. To watch a DVD on Rear 1 for driver’s side passen- gers, ensure the Remote Control and Headphone
switch is on Rear 1.
3. To watch a DVD on Rear 2 for passenger’s side passengers, ensure the Remote Control and Head-
phone switch is on Rear 2.
