controls to maximum level.
To clear the windows f aster, you can
close the dashboard corner vents by
rotating the wheel below it. This will
send more warm air to the
windshield def roster vents. Once the
windshield is clear, select the Fresh
Air mode to avoid f ogging the
windows.
For your saf ety, make sure you have
a clear view through all the windows
bef ore driving. The Automatic Climate Control
system can adjust the f an speed and
airflow levels to maintain the interior
temperature you select.
In the AUTO mode, the vehicle’s
interior temperature is
independently regulated f or the
driver and passenger. If the driver’s
side of the vehicle is getting too
much sun, the system will adjust to a
lower temperature.
Press the Auto button. With
Navigation System, the light in the
button comes on.
Set the desired temperature by
turning the Temperature Control
dial. You will see AUTO in the
system’s display.
Set the desired temperature by
pressing the to raise the
temperature or the to lower the
temperature. The selected
temperature will show in the upper
display.

The system automatically selects the
proper mix of conditioned and/or
heated air to raise or lower the
interior temperature to the
temperature you selected.
If you set the temperature to its
lower limit ( ) or its highest limit
( ), the system runs at f ull cooling
or heating only. It does not regulate
the interior temperature.
In cold weather, the f an will not
come on automatically until the
heater starts to develop warm air.
You can manually select various
f unctions of the Climate Control
System when it is in AUTO. All other
f eatures remain automatically
controlled.
Manual selections will cause the
word AUTO in the display to go out.
If you press the A/C button next to
the display, the manual selections
will show in the display. Manual
selection will cause the light in the
AUTO button to turn of f .Turningthefanspeedand
temperature control dials all the way
to left shuts off the system
completely.
If you press OFF, the Climate
Control system shuts of f completely.
Keep the system completely of f
f or short periods only.
When
the indicator in the Dual button is on,
the driver’s side and passenger’s side
temperature can be controlled
independently (see page ). To keep stale air and mustiness
f rom collecting, you should have
the f an running at all times.
When the Climate Control System is
turned OFF, the temperature in the
upper display will also turn of f .

Your vehicle has two temperature
control dials, one f or the driver, and
one f or the passenger.
Your vehicle has four temperature
control buttons, two f or the driver,
and two f or the passenger.
Thedriver’ssideandthepassenger’s
side can be controlled independently
by adjusting these dials or buttons
when the green indicator in the
DUAL button is lit.
Push AUTO or . The selected
temperatures appears in the display
(in the upper display with the
navigation system). When the
indicator in the DUAL button is of f ,
you can adjust both sides to the
same temperature by adjusting the
driver’s side temperature control dial
or buttons.

The ignition switch must be in the
ACCESSORY (I) or ON (II) position.
Turn the system on by pushing the
PWR/VOL knob or the AM/FM
button. Adjust the volume by turning
thesameknob.
Pushing the AUDIO DISPLAY
button will also turn on the system.
The band and f requency that the
radio was last tuned to is displayed.
To change bands, press the AM/FM
button. On the FM band, ST will be
displayed if the station is broadcast-
ing in stereo. Stereo reproduction on
AM is not available.
XM Satellite Radio inf ormation is
available on page . You can use any of f ive methods to
f ind radio stations on the selected
band: the
preset bars/icons, and
.
Use the TUNE bar or
knob to tune the radio to a desired
f requency. Press the side of the
bar or turn the knob to the right to
tune to a higher f requency, and
press the side or turn the knob
to the left to tune to a lower
f requency.
The SEEK f unction
searches up and down f rom the
current f requency to f ind a station
with a strong signal. To activate it,
press the or side of the
bar, then release it. The SCAN function
samples all stations with strong
signals on the selected band. To
activate it, press the SCAN button,
then release it, or touch the SCAN
icon on vehicles with navigation
system. You will see SCAN in the
display. The system will scan f or a
station with a strong signal. When it
f inds one, it will stop and play that
station f or about f ive seconds.
If you do nothing, the system will the
scan f or the next strong station and
play it f or f ive seconds. When it plays
a station you want to listen to, press
the SCAN button or touch the SCAN
icon again.

Each side of the bars (1
6) or preset icon can store one
f requency on AM, and two
f requencies on FM.
Select the desired band, AM or
FM. FM1 and FM2 let you store
two f requencies with each side of
the preset bar or each preset icon. The preset f requencies will be lost if
your vehicle’s battery goes dead, is
disconnected, or the radio f use is
removed.
If you are
traveling far from home and can no
longer receive your preset stations,
you can use the Auto Select f eature
to find stations in the local area.
Press the A. SEL button or touch the
AUTO SELECT icon. ‘‘A. SEL’’
f lashes in the display (the upper
display on vehicles with navigation
system), and the system goes into
scan mode f or several seconds. It
stores the f requencies of six AM,
and twelve FM stations in the preset
bars or icons.
You will see a ‘‘0’’ displayed af ter
pressing a preset bar or icon if Auto
Select cannot f ind a strong station
foreverypresetbaroricon. If you do not like the stations Auto
Select has stored, you can store
other f requencies on the preset bars
or icons. Use the TUNE, SEEK, or
SCAN f unction to f ind stations, then
store them in the preset bars or
icons as described previously.

to display the Bass (BAS), Treble

desired station.
Pick a preset number (1 6), and
hold it until you hear a beep.
Repeat steps 1 to 3 to store a total
of six stations on AM and twelve
stations on FM.

hear a beep.

the display to the selected audio
mode about f ive seconds af ter you
stop adjusting a mode. On vehicles
with navigation system, touch the
RETURN icon to go back to the
audio screen.
If you want to adjust the sound while
the radio/CD is playing, push the
AUDIO DISPLAY button, then touch
the SOUND icon in the display.
These two
modes adjusts the strength of the
sound coming f rom each speaker.
BAL adjusts the side-to-side strength,
while FAD adjusts the f ront-to-back
strength.
Use the TRE/BAS
modes to adjust the tone to your
liking.
Eachmodeisshowninthedisplayas
it changes. Turn the VOLUME knob
to adjust the setting to your liking.
When the level reaches the center,
you will see ‘‘ ’’ in the display. Touch the arrows next to the BAS or
TRE icons. The adjustment shows
you the current setting. Touch the
lef t or right bars on the sound grid.
Balance is equalized when the
vertical lines are centered on the
grid. Touch the f ront or rear bars on
the sound grid. The f ader is
equalized when the horizontal lines
arecenteredonthegrid.
