Searching Broadcasts
Manually
In the TUNE mode Ü Turn the controller
left/right to select the desired frequency.
Or turn the TUNE knob left/right on the
head unit to select the desired frequency.
FM1/FM2 : Increases/decreased by
200MHz
AM : Increases/decreased by 10kHz
Searching Broadcasts
Automatically
In the radio screen Ü Push the
controller left/right to search for
frequencies.
The frequency is continuously changed
while the controller is pushed.
Once the controller is released, the fol-
lowing broadcast frequency and station is
automatically searched.
In addition, operations can also be made
from the head unit.
Press the
< SEEK , TRACK > keys to auto-
matically search for frequencies.
Shortly press the key (under 0.8 seconds) :
Searches to previous/next frequency of
adequate signal strength.
Press and hold the key (over 0.8 seconds) :
While pressed, it scans pass radio sta-
tions or frequencies when released,
receives the previous/next broadcast of
adequate signal strength.

Scanning Radio Frequencies

Autostore button.
TUNE Mode : Starting from the current
frequency, Frequencies with superior
reception are scanned for 5 seconds.
Preset mode : Previews saved presets
for 5 seconds each.

troller will cancel the function and return
to the previous frequency.
!ŸThe scan in both modes finishes on the
frequency the scan started on.
Presets
In the radio screen Ü Press the
Presets icon.
Turn the controller left/right to select the
desired station. Once found, press the con-
troller to start listening.
Saving Radio Frequencies

Searching Channels
In the TUNE mode Ü Turn the controller
left/right to select the desired channel.
Or turn the TUNE knob left/right on the
head unit to select the desired channel.
In the XM screen Ü Push the controller
left/right to change the channel.
The channel is continuously changed while
the controller is held left/right. the head unit
scans past the channels, until the control-
ler is released. In addition, operations can also be made
from the head unit.
Press the <

Plays previous/next channel.

Turn the controller to enter the desired
channel number.
Press the Done button to receive
the selected channel.

Press the MENU key Ü Select
Category Lock .
Once Category Lock is turned ON, the
Category Lock icon is displayed on the
main screen. Upon operating the seek fea-
ture with the Lock ON, only channels within
the category are searched.

Dual-Layer DVD Video Discs
!ŸWhen playing a dual-layer disc, video/
sound lags may occur for up to several
seconds. Such phenomena are not
unusual when using a dual-layer disc
and do not signal a product malfunction.
!ŸCD-R or CD-RW DISC without quality
guarantees or discs over 650mb may not
be properly recognized by the device.
!ŸInserting an abnormal disc may result in
faulty operation/recognition.

assigned region codes. The region code

!ŸDiscs that have region codes besides

(CBR), VBR. For stable operation, the
use of files in 95kbps~192kbps bit rate
range and 44.1kHz SAMPLING fre-
quency is recommended.
!ŸThis device supports WMA audio files
using 20kbps ~ 320kbps(CBR), VBR.
!ŸVariable bit rate files may operate, but
the play time information may not be
properly displayed.

Starting Mode
Press the HOME key Ü Select the
DISC icon.
DISC mode will automatically start once a
CD is inserted.
Playing a CD
Press the controller to play or pause the
track.
While Gracenote checks CD information,
the message “Indexing” will blink at the top
right side.
Once Indexing is complete, song informa-
tion is displayed on the screen for songs
supported by Gracenote.
Selecting a Track
While playing Ü Shortly push the
controller left/right (under 0.8 seconds)
or shortly press the
< SEEK , TRACK >
keys to select the previous/next track.
