Turn Signal Indicator
Light
7his indicator light blinks
‡When you operate the turn signals.
If any of the following occur, there
may be a malfunction with the turn
signal system.
- The turn signal indicator light illumi-
nates but does not blink
- The turn signal indicator light blinks
rapidly
- The turn signal indicator light does
not illuminate at all
If any of these conditions occur, we
recommend that you have your vehi-
cle inspected by a HYUNDAI autho-
rised repairer.
Low Beam Indicator
Light
7his indicator light illuminates
‡When the headlamps are on.
High Beam Indicator
Light
7his indicator light illuminates
‡When the headlamps are on and in
the high beam position.
‡When the turn signal lever is pulled
into the Flash-to-Pass position.
High Beam Assist
(HBA) indicator light (if
equipped)
7his warning light illuminates
‡When the high-beam is on with the
light switch in the AUTO light posi-
tion.
‡If your vehicle detects oncoming or
preceding vehicles, High Beam
Assist system will switch the high
beam to low beam automatically.
For more details, refer to “High
Beam Assist (HBA)” in chapter 5.

To operate the lights, turn the knob at
the end of the control lever to one of
the following positions:
(1) OFF (O) position
(2) AUTO light position (if equipped)
(3) Position light position
(4) Headlight position

A872 light position (if equipped)
When the light switch is in the AUTO
position, the position light and head-
light will be turned ON or OFF auto-
matically depending on the amount of
light outside the vehicle.
Even with the AUTO light feature in
operation, it is recommended to man-
ually turn ON the lights when driving
at night or in a fog, or when you enter
dark areas, such as tunnels and park-
ing facilities.

Turn signals and lane change

To signal a turn, push down on the
lever for a left turn or up for a right
turn in position (A). To signal a lane
change, move the turn signal lever
slightly and hold it in position (B).
The lever will return to the OFF posi-
tion when released or when the turn
is completed.
If an indicator stays on and does not
flash or if it flashes abnormally, one of
the turn signal bulbs may be burned
out and will require replacement.
2ne-touch turn signal function
To activate a one-touch turn signal
function, move the turn signal lever
slightly and then release it. The lane
change signals will blink 3, 5 or 7
times.
You can activate or deactivate the
One Touch Turn Signal function or
choose the number of blinks (3, 5, or
7) from the User Settings Mode on

Front fog light (if equipped)

Fog lights are used to provide
improved visibility when visibility is
poor due to fog, rain or snow, etc.
1. Turn on the park light.
2. Move the light switch (1) to the
front fog light position.
3. To turn off the front fog light, turn
the light switch to the front fog light
position again or turn off the
Parking (Position) light
NOTICE
When in operation, the fog lights
consume large amounts of vehicle
electrical power. Only use the fog
lights when visibility is poor.

To turn on the rear fog light:
Position the light switch in the Position
light position, turn the light switch to
the front fog light position, and then
turn the light switch (1) to the rear fog
light position.

Vehicle without front fog light
To turn on the rear fog light:
Position the light switch in the head-
light position, and then turn the light
switch (1) to the rear fog light posi-
tion.
To turn the rear fog lights off, do one
of the following:

cator light will illuminate).
Push the button again to turn the air
conditioning system off.

Push the OFF button of the front to
turn off the air climate control system.
However, you can still operate the
mode and air intake buttons as long
as the ignition switch is in the ON
position.
System operation
Ventilation
1. Select the Face Level mode.
2. Set the air intake control to fresh
mode.
3. Set the temperature control to the
desired position.
4. Set the fan speed control to the
desired speed.
Heating
1. Select the Floor Level mode.
2. Set the air intake control to fresh
mode.
3. Set the temperature control to the
desired position.
4. Set the fan speed control to the
desired speed.
5. If desired, turn the air conditioning
ON with the temperature control
knob set to heat in order to dehu-
midify the air before it enters into
the cabin.
If the windscreen fogs up, select the
Floor & Defrost
mode or press
the Front Defrost
mode.
