EEngine Oil PressureWarning LightThis warning light illuminates:• Once you set the ignition switch or
Engine Start/Stop button to the ON
position.
- It remains on until the engine isstarted.
• When the engine oil pressure is low.If the engine oil pressure is low:1.Drive carefully to the nearest safelocation and stop your vehicle.
2.Turn the engine off and check the engine oil level (For more details,
refer to “Engine Oil” in chapter 7). If
the level is low, add oil as required.
If the warning light remains on after
adding oil or if oil is not available,
we recommend that you have the
vehicle inspected by an authorized
HYUNDAI dealer as soon as possi-
ble.
- Engine Oil Pressure Warning Light
• If the engine does not stop imme- diately after the Engine Oil
Pressure Warning Light is illumi-
nated, severe damage could
result.
• If the warning light stays on while the engine is running, it indicates
that there may be serious engine
damage or malfunction. In this
case,
1. Stop the vehicle as soon as it is safe to do so.
2. Turn off the en gine and check
the oil level. If the oil level is low,
fill the engine oil to the proper
level.
3. Start the engine again. If the warning light stays on after the
engine is started, turn the engine
off immediately. In this case, we
recommend that you have the
vehicle inspected by an author-
ized HYUNDAI dealer.
Low Fuel Level WarningLightThis warning light illuminates:When the fuel tank is nearly empty.
If the fuel tank is nearly empty, add
fuel as soon as possible.
- Low Fuel Level
Driving with the Low Fuel Level
warning light on or with the fuel level
below “E (Empty)” can cause the
engine to misfire and damage the
catalytic converter (if equipped).

(Petrol engiene)1.Be sure the vehicle is on level
ground.
2.Start the engine and allow it to reach normal operating tempera-
ture.
3.Turn the engine off and wait for a few minutes (about 5 minutes) for
the oil to return to the oil pan.
4.Pull the dipstick out, wipe it clean, and reinsert it fully.
5.Pull the dipstick out again and check the level. The level should be
between F (Full) and L (Low). If it is near or at L (Low), add enough
oil to bring the level to F (Full).
Do not
overfill.
Use a funnel to help prevent oil from
being spilled on engine components.
Use only the specified engine oil. (Refer to "Recommended lubricantsand capacities" in chapter 8.)
Radiator hose
Be very careful not to touch the
radiator hose when checking or
adding the engine oil as i t may be
hot enough to burn you.

Do not overfill the engine oil. It
may damage the engine.

Do not spill engine oil, when
adding or changing engine oil. If
you drop the engine oil on the
engine ro om, wipe it off immedi-
ately.

When you wipe the oil level
gauge, you should wipe it with a
clean cloth. When mixed with
debris, it can cause engine dam-
age.

Do not allow brake/clutch fluid to
contact the vehicle's body paint, as
paint damage will result.
Brake/clutch fluid, which has been
exposed to open air for an extended
time should never be used as its
qualit y cannot be guaranteed. It
should be properly disposed. Don't
put in the wrong kind of fluid. A few
drop s of mineral-based oil, such as
engine oil, in your brake/clutch sys-
tem can damage brake/clutch sys-
t em parts. NOTICE
Brake/clutch fluid
When changing and adding
brake/clutch fluid, handle it care-
fully. Do not let it com e in contact
with your eyes. If brake/clutch fluid
come in contact with your eyes,
immediately flush the m with a
large quantity of fresh tap water.
Have your eyes examined by a
doctor as soon as possible.
