The total gross vehicle weight is the com-bined weight of the vehicle, driver, all passengers and their luggage, cargo, hitch, trailer nose weightand other optional equipment. o The front or rear axle weight must
not exceed the Gross Axle WeightRating (GAWR) shown on the ve- hicle identification plate (see page 8-2). It is possible that your towingpackage does not exceed the GVWR but exceeds the GAWR. Improper trailer loading and/or toomuch luggage in the boot can overload the rear axle. Redistrib- ute the load and check the axleweight again.
