WARNING
• Be sure the parking brake is fully re-
leased before driving. Failure to do so
can cause brake failure and lead to an
accident.
• Do not release the parking brake from
outside the vehicle.
• Do not use the shift lever in place of the
parking brake. When parking, be sure the
parking brake is fully engaged.
• To help avoid risk of injury or death
through unintended operation of the ve-
hicle and/or its systems, do not leave
children, people who require the assis-
tance of others or pets unattended in
your vehicle. Additionally, the tempera-
ture inside a closed vehicle on a warm day
can quickly become high enough to cause
a significant risk of injury or death to
people and pets.
ELECTRONIC PARKING BRAKE
(switch type)
The electronic parking brake can be applied
or released by operating the parking brake
switch.
WARNING
• Before leaving the vehicle, move the shift
position to the P (Park) position and
check that the electronic parking brake
warning light is illuminated to confirm
that the electronic parking brake is ap-
plied. The electronic parking brake
warning light will remain on for a period
of time after the driver’s door is locked.
CAUTION
When parking in an area where the outside
temperature is below 32°F (0°C), the park-
ing brake, if applied, may freeze in place
and may be difficult to release.
For safe parking, it is recommended that
you place the shift position in the P (Park)
position and securely block the wheels.
NOTE:
• To keep the electronic parking brake re- leased after the engine is turned off, place
the ignition switch in the OFF position, de-
press the brake pedal and push down the
parking brake switch before opening the
driver’s door.

NOTE:
• When the INFINITI Drive Mode Selectorselects a mode, the mode may not switch
immediately. This is not a malfunction.
• The current mode is displayed in the ve- hicle information display. The mode list
will appear in the vehicle information dis-
play and you can select the mode.
• The mode list will be turned off in approxi- mately 5 seconds after the mode is se-
lected. You can also clear the message by
pressing the OK button on the steering
wheel switch.
• If the driving mode cannot be switched us- ing the INFINITI Drive Mode Selector
when the ignition switch is in the ON posi-
tion, have the system checked. It is recom-
mended that you visit an INFINITI retailer
for this service.
• The STANDARD (2WD models)/AUTO (4WD models) mode will be selected first
each time the ignition switch is placed in
the ON position.
WARNING
Do not stare at the Drive Mode Selector or
the display while driving so that full atten-
tion may be given to vehicle operation.
STANDARD (2WD models)/AUTO
(AWD models)
This is the standard mode that is most suit-
able for normal driving.
SPORT MODE
Adjusts the engine points for a higher
response.
The setting of the steering system is adjusted
to moderately increase steering wheel effort
for a sporty feel.
NOTE:
In the SPORT mode, fuel economy may be
reduced.
SNOW MODE
This mode makes it easier to start and drive
on snowy roads and frozen roads.
CAUTION
Never drive on dry, hard surface roads in
the SNOW mode, as this will overload
the powertrain and may cause a serious
malfunction. Additionally, this will cause
premature tire wear and reduced fuel
economy. When the SNOW mode is se-
lected, small vibration in cornering may oc-
cur. This is not a malfunction.
PERSONAL MODE
This mode is used for adjusting the steering
mode and drive modes. Turn the PERSONAL
mode off for normal driving.

TSR system may be deactivated automati-
cally. The “Unavailable: High Cabin Tempera-
ture” warning message will appear in the ve-
hicle information display.
Action to take:
When the interior temperature is reduced, the
TSR system will resume operating automati-
cally.
SYSTEM MALFUNCTION
If the TSR system malfunctions, it will be
turned off automatically and the system

INFINITI retailer for this service.
SYSTEM MAINTENANCE
The TSR system uses the same multi-sensing
front camera unit that is used by the Lane
Departure Warning (LDW) system, located in
front of the interior rearview mirror. For ad-
ditional information, see ”System mainte-
nance” (P. 5-42).
WARNING
Failure to follow the warnings and instruc-
tions for proper use of the LDW system
could result in serious injury or death.
• This system is only a warning device to
inform the driver of a potential unin-
tended lane departure. It will not steer
the vehicle or prevent loss of control. It is
the driver’s responsibility to stay alert,
drive safely, keep the vehicle in the trav-
eling lane, and be in control of the vehicle
at all times.

hicle at a set speed
• In heavy traffic or in traffic that varies in
speed
• On winding or hilly roads
• On slippery roads (rain, snow, ice, etc.)
• In very windy areas
Doing so could cause a loss of vehicle con-
trol and result in an accident.
CRUISE CONTROL OPERATIONS
The cruise control allows driving at a speed
between 25 - 89 mph (40 - 144 km/h) with-
out keeping your foot on the accelerator
