Jaguar Smart Key
Emergency key access
If there is a problem with the Smart Key and it will not
unlock the vehicle, use the emergency key access
procedure. Press the Smart Key release button
Remove the key blade.
Insert the blade into the slot beneath the front left\b
hand door lock cover. Lift slightly and twist to remove
the cover. Insert the key into the exposed lock and
turn it towards the rear of the vehicle then release it
to unlock.
If the vehicle security system was previously armed
with the Smart Key, the alarm will sound. To disarm
the alarm, press the START STOPbutton while the
Smart Key is inside the vehicle.
Unlocking mode alternatives
Single\bpoint entry allows only the driver’s door to unlock with a single press. A second press unlocks all other doors
and trunk.
Multi\bpoint entry will unlock all doors and trunk with a single press.
To change between modes, with the vehicle unlocked, press the lock and unlock buttons simultaneously for three
seconds. The hazard warning lamps will flash twice to confirm the change.
• Press once to lock the vehicle and arm the exterior (perimetric) alarm.
• Multi\bpoint entry \b Press once to disarm the alarm, unlock all doors and unlock
the trunk.
• Press and hold to unlock all doors and open the windows and sunroof (Global
opening).
• Press once to switch the headlamps on for 25 seconds. Press again to
switch off.
• Press to open only the luggage compartment. The rest of the security
system remains active.
• Press and hold for three seconds to activate/cancel the panic alarm.

To unlock the vehicle and disarm the alarm, simply
press a door handle button or luggage compartment
release button while the Smart Key is within 3 ft (\f
metre) of the vehicle.
To lock the vehicle and arm the alarm, first ensure
that the Smart Key is outside the vehicle but within
3ft (\f metre).
Press a door handle button once to single lock. Press
it twice within three seconds to double lock.Rear seat release handles
The split fold rear seats have release handles located
inside the trunk. Pull to release one or both seat
backs and fold forward. Head restraints can be
removed if required.

Comfort adjustments
Driver’s seat
Set the seat position using the following controls.
Seat back angle and head restraint.
Lumbar support.
Side support \b deflate.
Side support \b inflate.
Cushion length.
\bSeat forwards and back, cushion height and
cushion angle.
NOTE: Seat heater controls are accessed via the
touchscreen.
Steering column
With the vehicle stationary, adjust the steering
column to your ideal driving position.
Door mirrors
1\b Press the left or right mirror selector.
\f\b Use the mirror adjuster to set mirror position.
Storing the driving position to memory
Once you have adjusted the driver's seat, steering
column and door mirrors for your ideal driving
position, the settings can be stored.
Press the SETbutton to activate the memory
store function. The button will illuminate to
indicate the memory store function is active.
Within 5 seconds, press button 1or \fto store
the current driving position.
A stored memory position can now be recalled with a
press of the appropriate button; 1or \f. The seat,
steering wheel and mirrors will move to their preset
positions.

A warning indicator on the instrument panel
will illuminate if the seat belt of an occupied
front seat is not fastened. This may be
accompanied by an audible warning.
Using child seats
Refer to Child Seat Positioning in the Owner’s
Handbook to determine the correct seat for your
child.
If it becomes necessary to fit a child restraint on the
front passenger seat, make the following seat
adjustments.• Move the seat fully rearward.
• Lumbar support to minimum setting.
• Seat cushion to highest position.
• Cushion front tilt to lowest position.
• Seat back to upright position.
• Adjust the upper seat belt anchorage to its lowest position.
Operating note
Memory buttons must be pressed within five
seconds after pressing the SETbutton otherwise
the memory store function will cancel.

AUTO. Automatic mode. The climate control will
adjust air conditioning, blower speed, air
intake and airflow distribution to maintain the
selected temperature(s). Fogging will be reduced.
Left and right hand sides temperature controls.
Temperature is displayed on the touch\bscreen.
Blower speed. Rotate to adjust airflow speed
through the vents.
DEF. Fastest method to remove frost or heavy
fogging from the windshield.
F\b Heated windshield.
\bR. Heated rear screen.
Recirculation. Helps prevent fumes from entering.
Touchscreen controls
To access touch\bscreen control, touch Climateon
the Home menu screen.
Auto. Automatic mode. The climate control will
adjust air conditioning, blower speed, air
intake and airflow distribution to maintain the
selected temperature(s). Fogging will be reduced.
Air distribution to windshield, face or feet.
Temp sync. Synchronises all front and rear
settings to match the driver’s.
Front seats. Temperature and ventilation settings.
There are three settings each for heating and
cooling. Touch the up arrow for heated ventilation
and for raising temperature. Touch the down
arrow for cooled ventilation and for lowering
temperature.
The first touch of either arrow will initiate the
maximum setting. The setting will be indicated by
the number of illuminated red or blue LED’s.
Heated only seats (not shown)
There are three temperature settings. Touch the
seat icon to initiate.
• First touch \b maximum heat.
• Second touch \b intermediate.
• Third touch \b minimum.
• Fourth touch \b heating off.
The setting will be indicated by the number of
illuminated red LED’s.
Blower speed. For adjusting air flow speed
through the vents.
\bHeated steering wheel. Touch to turn on heat.
Touch again to turn off.
OFF. Turns climate control off and is replaced
with the ONsoftkey.
A/C. Select for economy mode. Turns off the air
conditioning compressor.

Operating note
AUTO is the recommended operating mode. This
will help prevent fogging and reduce odours.
External water deposits
The air conditioning system removes moisture from
the air and deposits the excess water beneath the
vehicle. Puddles may form but this is normal and
no cause for concern.
Operating note
Seat heating and ventilating will operate only while
the engine is running. This is to prevent the battery
becoming discharged.
