screen along with a caution note to “check
entire surroundings” across the top of the
screen. After five seconds this note will disap-
pear. The ParkViewcamera is located on the
rear of the vehicle above the rear License plate. When the vehicle is shifted out of REVERSE, the
rear camera mode is exited and the navigation
or audio screen appears again.
When displayed, static grid lines will illustrate
the width of the vehicle while a dashed center-
line will indicate the center of the vehicle toassist with aligning to a hitch/receiver. The
static grid lines will show separate zones that
will help indicate the distance to the rear of the
vehicle. The following table shows the approxi-
mate distances for each zone:

WARNING!
Drivers must be careful when backing up even
when using the ParkViewRear Back Up
Camera. Always check carefully behind your
vehicle, and be sure to check for pedestrians,
animals, other vehicles, obstructions, or blind
spots before backing up. You are responsible
for the safety of your surroundings and must
continue to pay attention while backing up.
Failure to do so can result in serious injury or
death.CAUTION!
• To avoid vehicle damage, ParkView 
should only be used as a parking aid. The
ParkView camera is unable to view every
obstacle or object in your drive path.
• To avoid vehicle damage, the vehicle must
be driven slowly when using ParkView to
be able to stop in time when an obstacle is
seen. It is recommended that the driver
look frequently over his/her shoulder when
using ParkView. NOTE:
If snow, ice, mud, or any foreign substance
builds up on the camera lens, clean the lens,
rinse with water, and dry with a soft cloth. Do
not cover the lens.

2. Select “system setup” soft-key.
3. Press the “camera setup” soft-key.
4. Enable or disable the rear camera feature by
selecting the “enable rear camera in reverse”
soft-key.

OVERHEAD CONSOLEThe overhead console contains courtesy/
reading lights and storage for sunglasses.
Power liftgate and power sunroof switches may
also be included, if equipped.
Courtesy/Reading LightsLocated on the overhead console are two
courtesy/reading lights. Press the lens to turn
these lights on. Press a second time to turn the
lights off. The lights also turn on when a front door or rear
door is opened, when the UNLOCK button on
the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter is
pressed, or when the dimmer wheel is moved
up to the dome ON position.Sunglasses StorageAt the rear of the console a compartment is
provided for the storage of a pair of sun-
glasses.
The storage compartment access is a “push/
push” design. Push the chrome pad on the
door to open. Push the chrome pad on the door
to close.

POWER SUNROOF — IF EQUIPPEDThe power sunroof switch is located between
the sun visors on the overhead console.
WARNING!
•Never leave children in a vehicle with the
key in the ignition switch. Occupants, par-
ticularly unattended children, can become
entrapped by the power sunroof while op-
erating the power sunroof switch. Such
entrapment may result in serious injury or
death.
• In a collision, there is a greater risk of being
thrown from a vehicle with an open sunroof.
You could also be seriously injured or killed.
Always fasten your seat belt properly and
make sure all passengers are properly se-
cured too.
• Do not allow small children to operate the
sunroof. Never allow your fingers, other
body parts, or any object to project through
the sunroof opening. Injury may result.
Opening Sunroof — ExpressPress the switch rearward and release it within
one-half second and the sunroof will open
automatically from any position. The sunroof
will open fully and stop automatically. This is called “Express Open”. During Express Open
operation, any movement of the sunroof switch
will stop the sunroof.
Opening Sunroof — ManualTo open the sunroof, press and hold the switch
rearward to full open. Any release of the switch
will stop the movement and the sunroof will
remain in a partially opened condition until the
switch is pushed and held rearward again.
Closing Sunroof — ExpressTo close the sunroof, press and hold the switch
in the forward position. Any release of the
switch will stop the movement and the sunroof
will remain in a partially closed condition until
the switch is pushed and held forward again.
Closing Sunroof — Manual ModeTo close the sunroof, press and hold the switch
in the forward position. Any release of the
switch will stop the movement and the sunroof
will remain in a partially closed condition until
the switch is pushed and held forward again.
Pinch Protect FeatureThis feature will detect an obstruction in the
opening of the sunroof during Express Close

operation. If an obstruction in the path of the
sunroof is detected, the sunroof will automati-
cally retract. Remove the obstruction if this
occurs. Next, press the switch forward and
release to Express Close.
NOTE:
If three consecutive sunroof close attempts
result in Pinch Protect reversals, the fourth
close attempt will be a Manual Close move-
ment with Pinch Protect disabled.
Venting Sunroof — ExpressPress and release the Vent button within one
half second and the sunroof will open to the
vent position. This is called “Express Vent”, and
it will occur regardless of sunroof position.
During Express Vent operation, any movement
of the switch will stop the sunroof.
Sunshade OperationThe sunshade can be opened manually. How-
ever, the sunshade will open automatically as
the sunroof opens.
NOTE:
The sunshade cannot be closed if the sun-
roof is open.
Wind BuffetingWind buffeting can be described as the per-
ception of pressure on the ears or a helicopter-
type sound in the ears. Your vehicle may exhibit
wind buffeting with the windows down, or the
sunroof (if equipped) is in certain open or
partially open positions. This is a normal occur-
rence and can be minimized. If the buffeting
occurs with the rear windows open, open the
front and rear windows together to minimize the
buffeting. If the buffeting occurs with the sun-
roof open, adjust the sunroof opening to mini-
mize the buffeting or open any window.
Sunroof MaintenanceUse only a nonabrasive cleaner and a soft cloth
to clean the glass panel.
Ignition OFF OperationThe power sunroof switches remain active for
up to approximately ten minutes after the igni-
tion switch has been turned OFF. Opening
either front door will cancel this feature. The
time is programmable. Refer to “Electronic Ve-
hicle Information Center (EVIC)/Personal Set-tings (Customer-Programmable Features)” in
“Understanding Your Instrument Panel” for fur-
ther information.

The CommandView sunroof switch is located
to the left between the sun visors on the over-
head console.
The power shade switch is located to the right
between the sun visors on the overhead con-
sole.

Pinch Protect FeatureThis feature will detect an obstruction in the
opening of the sunroof during Express Close
operation. If an obstruction is detected, the
sunroof will automatically retract. Remove the
obstruction if this occurs. Next, press the
switch forward and release to Express Close.
NOTE:
If three consecutive sunroof close attempts
result in Pinch Protect reversals, the fourth
close attempt will be a Manual Close move-
ment with Pinch Protect disabled.
Pinch Protect OverrideIf a known obstruction (ice, debris, etc.) pre-
vents closing the sunroof, press the switch
forward and hold for two seconds after the
reversal occurs. This allows the sunroof to
move toward the closed position.NOTE:
Pinch protection is disabled while the
switch is pressed.
Wind BuffetingWind buffeting can be described as the per-

mable Features (System Setup)” in “Under-
standing Your Instrument Panel” for further in-
formation.
NOTE:
Opening either front door will cancel this

Sunroof Fully ClosedPress the switch forward and release to ensure
that the sunroof is fully closed.
ELECTRICAL POWER OUTLETSYour vehicle is equipped with 12 Volt (13 Amp)
power outlets that can be used to power cellu-
lar phones, small electronics and other low
powered electrical accessories. The power out-
lets are labeled with either a “key” or a “battery”
symbol to indicate how the outlet is powered.
Power outlets labeled with a “key” are powered
when the ignition switch is in the ON or ACC
position, while the outlets labeled with a “bat-
tery” are connected directly to the battery and
powered at all times.

NOTE:
•All accessories connected to the “bat-
tery” powered outlets should be removed
or turned off when the vehicle is not in
use to protect the battery against dis-
charge.
• To ensure proper operation a MOPAR
knob and element must be used.
CAUTION!
Power outlets are designed for accessory
plugs only. Do not insert any other object in
the power outlets as this will damage the
outlet and blow the fuse. Improper use of the
power outlet can cause damage not covered
by your New Vehicle Limited Warranty.
The front power outlet is located inside the
storage area on the center stack of the instru-
ment panel. Push inward on the storage lid to
open the compartment and gain access to this
power outlet. In addition to the front power outlet, there is
also a power outlet located in the storage area
of the center console.The rear power outlet is located in the right rear

•Many accessories that can be plugged in
draw power from the vehicle’s battery, even
when not in use (i.e., cellular phones, etc.).
Eventually, if plugged in long enough, the
vehicle’s battery will discharge sufficiently
to degrade battery life and/or prevent the
engine from starting.
• Accessories that draw higher power (i.e.,
coolers, vacuum cleaners, lights, etc.) will
degrade the battery even more quickly.
Only use these intermittently and with
greater caution.

length of time to allow the generator to

Center ConsoleThe center console contains both an upper and
a lower storage area.
To open the upper storage compartment, pull
upward on the small latch located on the lid.Lift upward on the larger of the latches to
access the lower storage compartment.WARNING!
Do not operate this vehicle with a console
compartment lid in the open position. Cellular
phones, music players, and other handheld
electronic devices should be stowed while
driving. Use of these devices while driving can
cause an accident due to distraction, resulting
in death or injury.
CARGO AREA FEATURES
Rechargeable Flashlight
The rechargeable flashlight is mounted on the
left side of the cargo area. The flashlight snaps
out of the bezel when needed. The flashlight
features two bright LED light bulbs and is
powered by rechargeable lithium batteries that
recharge when snapped back into place.
