WARNING!
Failure to engage a transfer case position
completely can cause transfer case damage
or loss of power and vehicle control. You
could have a collision. Do not drive the vehi-
cle unless the transfer case is fully engaged.
WARNING!
On vehicles equipped with a limited-slip dif -
ferential, never run the engine with one rear
wheel off the ground. The vehicle may drive
through the rear wheel remaining on the
ground and cause you to lose control of your
vehicle.

traffic or on roads that are winding, icy,
snow-covered or slippery.
WARNING!
Leaving the Cruised Control system on when
not in use is dangerous. You could acciden -
tally set the system or cause it to go faster
than you want. You could lose control and
have an accident. Always leave the system off
when you are not using it.

WARNING!
Cruise Control can be dangerous where the
system cannot maintain a constant speed.
Your vehicle could go too fast for the condi-
tions, and you could lose control and have an
accident. Do not use Cruise Control in heavy
traffic or on roads that are winding, icy,
snow-covered or slippery.

nience system. It is not a substitute for
active driver involvement. It is always the
driver’s responsibility to be attentive of road,
traffic, and weather conditions, vehicle
speed, distance to the vehicle ahead; and,
most importantly, brake operation to ensure
safe operation of the vehicle under all road
conditions. Your complete attention is
always required while driving to maintain
safe control of your vehicle. Failure to follow
these warnings can result in a collision and
death or serious personal injury.
The ACC system:

could accidentally set the system or cause it
to go faster than you want. You could lose
control and have a collision. Always leave the
system off when you are not using it.
WARNING!
In the Fixed Speed Cruise Control mode, the
system will not react to vehicles ahead. In
addition, the proximity warning does not acti -
vate and no alarm will sound even if you are
too close to the vehicle ahead since neither
the presence of the vehicle ahead nor the
vehicle-to-vehicle distance is detected. Be
sure to maintain a safe distance between
your vehicle and the vehicle ahead. Always be
aware which mode is selected.

Make certain that the load is secured in the
trailer and that it will not shift during travel.
When trailering cargo that is not fully
secured, dynamic load shifts can occur that
may be difficult for the driver to control. You
could lose control of your vehicle and have
a collision.

The ABS contains sophisticated electronic
equipment that may be susceptible to inter-
ference caused by improperly installed or
high output radio transmitting equipment.
This interference can cause possible loss of
anti-lock braking capability. Installation of
such equipment should be performed by
qualified professionals.
Pumping of the Anti-Lock Brakes will
diminish their effectiveness and may lead
to a collision. Pumping makes the stopping
distance longer. Just press firmly on your
brake pedal when you need to slow down or
stop.
