Running-in procedure on roads at dealer1. Carry out 5 standing starts from 0 to 50 km/h. During pickup, ensure the engine is running at 2,800 rpm ±
300 rpm.
2. At the end of every pickup, once 50 km/h have been reached, put into second gear (without loading the
accelerator pedal) and continue at a constant speed for 30 seconds.
3. After the 5 starts, continue at a constant speed of about 50 km/h for 60 seconds.
4. Repeat points 1, 2, 3, twice again (for a total 15 starts).

The present procedure also applies to clutches using the new Valeo F510 material, which can create a little
smoke and odor during running-in. Such conditions are to be considered normal and are caused by the
friction material.

The Selespeed System is a system developed by Magneti Marelli to control a standard mechanic transmission
by operating the clutch Actuator and the command shaft of the conventional gear box.
• The Selespeed System also interfaces with the engine controller in order to adapt the engine torque and speed
during the gear shifting phases.

Clutch wear
The reading of the clutch position sensor also determines the state of wear of the clutch.
The values that determine deterioration are read with the LaRa-AS (109000)in the0HDVXUHPHQW YDOXHV for the
E-GEAR system, channel 10 ( )LJ):
• Line 3 indicates the real clutch position
• Line 4 indicates the initial clutch position
The difference between the 2 values determines the thickness of the clutch, which is deteriorated when less than
5.6 mm.
7KH YDOXHV DUH H[SUHVVHG LQ ELWV VR LW LV QHFHVVDU\ WR FRQYHUW WKHP LQWR PP GLYLGH WKH ¿JXUH E\   WR
determine the clutch thickness measurement.
In addition to the value calculated by the difference of lines 3 and 4, also the other data establish the state of clutch
wear: • Line 1 indicates the degree of deterioration of the clutch (the clutch is deteriorated when the value is higher
than 15000)
• Line 2 indicates the Kiss Point of the clutch (the clutch is deteriorated when the value is higher than 800)
