The clutch closed position is self tuned when the clutch valve is off, including engine off.
The clutch closed position must be in the range 1050bit and 2000 bit.

The kiss point is self tuned at each cranking when the gearbox is in neutral. The engine is colder than 70C and the
clutch estimated temperature is colder than 70C.
The average of each calculated kiss point value is used and stored in the TCU memory. 7KH.LVVSRLQWLVSHUIRUPHGGXULQJWKHYHKLFOHOLIHDQGLVKLJKO\¿OWHUHG
For a fast adaptation of kiss point an LaRa-AS (109000)service is implemented.
The range is 300bit < Kisspoint < 800bit (the frequent value is between 350 and 550 bit).
The routine is activated if the following condition are true: • The engine is ON
• No gear is engaged
• The clutch kiss point self tuning has never been performed or a special service is asked by the tested
and it is suspended if one of the following condition is true:
• a new cranking is requested during the self tuning
• the clutch is not able to open
• the clutch closure phase is completed and no clutch rotation is detected
• a gear is requested
• a failure is detected on the clutch position sensor or on the gear valves

Launch Control
The mode “Launch Control” realises the max. possible acceleration during pick up.
The activation is done if the following condition are true: •Brake pressed
• CORSA mode activated
• ESP deactivated
When the “launch control” is activated the engine speed is reasing according to the gas pedal position.
The Pick-UP starts immediately when the Brake pedal is Released.

A Special buzzer is used by the dashboard, that indicate that the clutch is too hot (c,a 200°), is switched on by Gear- box ECU.

The “Thrust Mode” function is an extreme procedure whose purpose is to fully exploit all of the vehicle’s potentialswhen starting the car in a standstill position with the maximum acceleration possible. In this way we will get themaximum performance in terms of acceleration.
The conditions necessary for enabling the function are: 1. twater temperature > 60°C(otherwise the engine is limited by default and it is impossible to get the required
high performance start)

General instructions
Prior to starting work on the dismantling or assembing of the Gearbox and Differential assy, bear in mind the following points: •When working on the gearbox assy observe high standards of cleanliness. All parts should be cleaned throughly
prior to assembly.
• The location where the work is to be carried out should be dust-free clean.
• 0DNH VXUH WKDW DOO WKH QHFHVVDU\ WRROV DUH DYDLODEOH SDUWLFXODUO\ WKRVH PHQWLRQHG LQ WKLV PDQXDO 3DUWV ¿WWHG
incorrectly can cause serious damage, in the same way as metal chips or foreign bodies.
• During the differential assy overhaul, you are advised tu substitute the following with new parts: oil sealing rings,
gaskets, retaining rings and any parts damaged during dismantling.
• If breakage occurs inside the planetary gears side or differential, all lines, casing and should be cleaned thor-
oughl to prevent damage caused by residues left inside the system.
SHIMS
All adjustments shall be carried out after all adjustment shims have been selected measuring them one by one with a micrometer gauge and, then, summing up all values measured; do not trust incorrect measurement of pack as a
unit or sum of nominal value printed on each shim.
SEALS FOR REVOLVING SHAFTS

Loosen the nut ( ()LJ) on both sides securing the gearbox to the chassis.
 Loosen the screw ( F-Fig.3) securing the mounting bracket of the gearbox oil circuit pipes.
7. Disconnect the oil circuit delivery and return pipes ( G-Fig.3) from the gearbox.

10.Cut three clamps ( -)LJ).
11. Loosen three screws ( .)LJ) on the left side and remove the joint bulkhead ( /)LJ) between the axle shaft
and the differential to release the gearbox.
12. Loosen the rear differential gearbox assembly support screw ( 0)LJ) and remove the bracket ( 1)LJ).
13. Loosen three screws ( 2)LJ) on the right side and remove the joint bulkhead ( 3)LJ) between the axle shaft
and the differential.
14. Loosen the rear differential gearbox assembly support screw ( 4)LJ) and remove the bracket ( 5)LJ).
 Disconnect the two gear selection cables ( S-Fig.7).

20.Loosen the four screws ( X-Fig.11) securing the engine to the chassis.
21. Loosen the nine screws ( Y-Fig.12) securing the gearbox housing to the engine.
22. Lift the engine slightly and remove the gearbox rear differential assembly ( Z-Fig.13) using a suitable lifting
device.
