Launch Control
The mode “Launch Control” realises the max. possible acceleration during pick up.
The activation is done if the following condition are true: •Brake pressed
• CORSA mode activated
• ESP deactivated
When the “launch control” is activated the engine speed is reasing according to the gas pedal position.
The Pick-UP starts immediately when the Brake pedal is Released.

A Special buzzer is used by the dashboard, that indicate that the clutch is too hot (c,a 200°), is switched on by Gear- box ECU.
)DXOW,QGLFDWLRQWRWKHGULYHU
A Driver Warning Message in the dashboard display, that indicate that the car need workshop attention, is switched
on by Gearbox ECU.
The Symbol ( $)LJ) is displayed permanently.

The “Thrust Mode” function is an extreme procedure whose purpose is to fully exploit all of the vehicle’s potentialswhen starting the car in a standstill position with the maximum acceleration possible. In this way we will get themaximum performance in terms of acceleration.
The conditions necessary for enabling the function are: 1. twater temperature > 60°C(otherwise the engine is limited by default and it is impossible to get the required
high performance start)
2. &256$ EXWWRQHQDEOHG YHUL¿HGZKHQWKH&256$OLJKWLVRQ

Important!
The Thrust Mode procedure entails enormous stress on all mechanical parts regarding the engine-gearbox- transmission.

The anti-evaporation system prevents the fuel vapors, which consist of the lightest fractions of the hydrocarbons that form in the tank, from discharging into the atmosphere and being suctioned again to be burned.
The system operates especially when the outside temperature is high and the fuel temperature rises, thus increasing the tendency to evaporate. 2SHUDWLQJ3ULQFLSOH

It prevents the fuel from reaching the canister in the case of hard acceleration/deceleration when the car has a
full tank, or from spilling from the tank, in case the car rolls over;
• It allows the vapors to pass from the tank to the canister;
• It enables to discharge into the atmosphere any excess pressure inside the tank (electrovalve malfunctioning,
clogged pipe).
The canister is connected, by means of two solenoid valves, to two pipes that convey the vapors to the engine intake
manifolds. With the engine running, each solenoid valve is piloted in duty-cycle by the engine control unit according
to engine speed and load, thus putting the canister into communication with the intake manifold and allowing the
suction of the vapors inside the canister. At high engine speed, a venting valve, connecting the canister to the

The purge valves (
A-Fig.2) empty the canister (that holds back the fuel gases that form inside the tank) positioned
on the right side of the engine compartment. 7KHWZRYDOYHVDUH¿WWHGXQGHUQHDWKWKHLQWDNHPDQLIROG ZKLFKKDVWREHUHPRYHGWRJHWWRWKHYDOYHV The purge valves are driven by the injection control units according to a strategy set by their calibration software.
In the circuit is a pump positioned under the canister that controls the system’s seal; this pump is driven according to the operating time.
The control unit receives the information if the circuit is sealed, so the more time spent loading the pressure into the tank, the greater the possibility is that the system turns on the pilot lamp.
