The Selespeed System is a system developed by Magneti Marelli to control a standard mechanic transmission
by operating the clutch Actuator and the command shaft of the conventional gear box.
• The Selespeed System also interfaces with the engine controller in order to adapt the engine torque and speed
during the gear shifting phases.

The “Thrust Mode” function is an extreme procedure whose purpose is to fully exploit all of the vehicle’s potentialswhen starting the car in a standstill position with the maximum acceleration possible. In this way we will get themaximum performance in terms of acceleration.
The conditions necessary for enabling the function are: 1. twater temperature > 60°C(otherwise the engine is limited by default and it is impossible to get the required
high performance start)
2. &256$ EXWWRQHQDEOHG YHUL¿HGZKHQWKH&256$OLJKWLVRQ

4. press the brake pedal

6. press the accelerator all the way down (the engine will automatically run at around 5500-6000 rpm)

Important!
The Thrust Mode procedure entails enormous stress on all mechanical parts regarding the engine-gearbox- transmission.

Step 1 1. Check that both the selection terminal and the engagement terminal ( $%)LJ) are enabled (not anchored
onto the ends of the cables). The terminals are enabled when the spring is compressed and slightly turned so
that the ring nut locks into place.
2. Insert the tool ( &)LJ) that holds the levers in place in the hole on the gear lever device and on the levers on
the gearbox. Check that the gearshift lever is only able to engage.
3. Disable the gear selection lever terminal ( $)LJ) and check that the terminal and cable are anchored together.
The gear selection has now been adjusted.

1. Remove the tool that holds the levers in place ( &)LJ) from the gear lever device and assemble the selector
using the two screws.
2. Position the lever exactly at the middle of the selector ( Fig.2).
3. Disable the engagement lever terminal ( $)LJ) and check that the terminal and cable are anchored together.
Gear engagement has now been adjusted.
4. Remove the tool that holds the levers in place ( &)LJ) on the gearbox.
5. Check that the system works correctly by changing gears. Gear selection
