The battery should be replaced if its voltage is below 10V. • Switch off all lights and any other electrical device in the car.
• Remove the panel in the luggage compartment ( A-Fig.1).
• Remove the battery’s positive pole (RED) guard. For the negative pole, secure the clamp onto the lock.
,PSRUWDQW • Use an external battery with an identical voltage (12 Volt) and electrical cables with a section of at least
25 mm 2
and isolated terminals.

battery from the system.
• Before connecting the battery to the system make sure that the latter is well insulated.
• Wrong polarization of the electronic control units power supply voltage (for example wrong battery
polarization) can cause breakage.

• Secure the other end to the positive pole  of the supply battery ( %)LJ).

• Secure the other end to the negative pole  of the supply battery ( A-Fig.2).
Starting the engine • Start the engine of the car that is supplying the current and let it idle.
• Start the engine of the car with the dead battery.
1RWH
The battery’s low voltage could require resynchronization of the ignition key before starting. In this case, turn the key to ON and hold the LOCK/UNLOCK buttons down for approximately 30 seconds.
• If the engine does not start immediately, stop starting after 10 seconds and repeat after approximately 30
seconds.
• Leave the engine on and remove the cables in the opposite order described previously (remove the ground
