Repair the seat

This repair procedure may be applied to MOMO seats that equip cars until V.I.N. 1916 excluded.
If the seatback’s covering near the side airbag is detached from the airbag housing as shown in ( Fig.1), repair it as
follows:
• Remove the seat from the passenger compartment (088203).
• Disassemble the seatback panel (088203).
• Disassemble the side airbag (088003).
• Clean the internal part of the side airbag’s housing.
• Apply glue to the upholstery on the internal part of the side airbag’s housing as shown in ( Fig.2).

‡ Disassemble the central tunnel  – reference C) .
‡ Disassemble the passenger sun visors  ±UHIHUHQFH:operations 5-6).
‡ Release (don’t remove) the front part of the roof liner ±ULIHULPHQWR: .
‡ Disassemble the roof lamp  .
‡ Disassemble the passenger side lower dashboard assembly UHIHUHQFH5 .
‡ Disassemble the dashboard ±UHIHUHQFH6 .
The Kenwood multimedia system include the navigation and the Bluetooth functions. If the car is equipped
with the Bluetooth optional as original equipment, the Bluetooth ECU has to be removed from the car because it will be not useful with the new Kenwood multimedia system.
The Kenwood multimedia system include the iPod and USB connections; these connections completely replace the original ones that are present in the car if it is equipped with these optional. If the car has the
CD-Changer, this element has to be removed because it is incompatible with the new multimedia system.

Remove the iPod interface
Behind the multimedia system RNS-E of the car, there is a
1. sponge sleeve that contain ($)LJ) the
connection ( %)LJ) between the iPod interface and the RNS-E.
Open (cut) the sponge sleeve and disconnect the two black connectors (
2. %)LJ) that are present inside it.
Remove the green connector (
3. ')LJ  WKDW LV ¿[HG LQ WKH EODFN RQH &)LJ) that was connected to the
multimedia system RNS-E.
Insert the green connector (
4. ')LJ), that was release with the previous operation, in the black connector
( ()LJ ) of the car’s dashboard wiring harness (that was disconnected with the operation 2).
