Select “Options” on the air conditioning control screen ( P.62).
The functions can be switched (on) and (off).
Set eco air conditioning mode
Air conditioning and heater output is
limited to prioritize fuel economy.
Prevent ice from building up on the
windshield and wiper blades (Wind-
shield wiper de-icer) (if equipped)
1Press the automatic mode switch.
2Press the outside/recirculated air mode switch to switch to automatic air intake mode.
The air conditioning system automatically switches between outside air and recircu-
lated air modes.
3Adjust the temperature setting.
4To stop the operation, press the off switch.

*: It also comes on due to natural causes such as natural air leaks and tire inflation pressure
changes caused by temperature. Adjust the tire inflation pressure to the specified level.
The light will turn off after a few minutes. In case the light does not turn off even if the tire
inflation pressure is adjusted, have th e system checked by your Lexus dealer.

Turn the mechanical key clockwise to open.
1Ensure that the shift lever is in P and depress the brake pedal.
2Touch the Lexus emblem side of the
electronic key to the power switch.
When the electronic key is detected, a
buzzer sounds and the power switch
will turn to ON mode.
When the smart access system with
pushbutton start is deactivated in cus-
tomization setting, the power switch
will turn to ACCESSORY mode.
3Firmly depress the brake pedal and check that is shown on the multi-informa-
tion display.
4Press the power switch shortly and firmly.
In the event that the hybrid system still cann ot be started, contact your Lexus dealer.

Starting the hybrid system
If the electronic key battery becomes deplet ed, a warning message will be shown on the
multi-information display. Replace the battery with a new one. For instructions on replacing
the battery, refer to the “OWNER’S MANUAL”.
