Wheels
When replacing wheels, care should be taken to ensure that they are
equivalent to those removed in load capacity, diameter, rim width and
inset
*.
Replacement wheels are available at your Lexus dealer.
*: Conventionally referred to as “offset”.
Lexus does not recommend using the following:
●Wheels of different sizes or types
●Used wheels
●Bent wheels that have been straightened
●Steel wheels (F SPORT models only)
●Use only Lexus wheel nuts and wren ches designed for use with your
aluminum wheels.
●When rotating, repairing or changing your tires, check that the wheel
nuts are still tight after driving 1000 miles (1600 km).
●Be careful not to damage the alum inum wheels when using tire chains.
●Use only Lexus genuine balance wei ghts or equivalent and a plastic or
rubber hammer when balancing your wheels.
If a wheel is bent, cracked or heav ily corroded, it should be replaced.
Otherwise, the tire may separate from the wheel or cause a loss of han-
dling control.

Maintenance and care
■When replacing wheels
The wheels of your vehicle are equipped with tire pressure warning valves and trans-
mitters that allow the tire pressure warnin g system to provide advance warning in the
event of a loss in tire inflation pressure. Whenever wheels are replaced, tire pressure
warning valves and transmitte rs must be installed. (P. 445)
CAUTION
■When replacing wheels
●Do not use wheels that are a different size from those recommended in the
Owner’s Manual, as this may result in a loss of handling control.
●Never use an inner tube in a leaking wheel which is designed for a tubeless tire.
Doing so may result in an accident, causing death or serious injury.
●F SPORT models: Do not install steel wheels.
The wheel contact surface could be da maged, and the wheel could come off
while driving, which could lead to an accid ent resulting in death or serious injury.
■Use of defective wheels prohibited
Do not use cracked or deformed wheels.
Doing so could cause the tire to leak air during driving, possibly causing an acci-
dent.
NOTICE
■Replacing tire pressure warning valves and transmitters
●Because tire repair or replacement may affect the tire pressure warning valves
and transmitters, make sure to have tires serviced by your Lexus dealer or other
qualified service shop. In addition, make sure to purchase your tire pressure
warning valves and transmitters at your Lexus dealer.
●Ensure that only genuine Lexus wh eels are used on your vehicle.
Tire pressure warning valves and transmitters may not work properly with non-
genuine wheels.

The driver’s seat belt buzzer sounds to al ert the driver that his or her seat belt is
not fastened. Once the power switch is turned to ON mode, the buzzer sounds
for 6 seconds. If the vehicle reaches a speed of 12 mph (20 km/h), the buzzer
sounds once. If the seat belt is still un fastened after 24 seconds, the buzzer will
sound intermittently for 10 seconds. Then, if the seat belt is still unfastened, the
buzzer will sound in a differ ent tone for 20 more seconds.
Front passenger’s seat belt buzzer:
The front passenger’s seat belt buzzer soun ds to alert the front passenger that his
or her seat belt is not fastened. The buzzer sounds once if the vehicle reaches a
speed of 12 mph (20 km/h). If the seat belt is still unfastened after 24 seconds, the
buzzer will sound intermittently for 10 seco nds. Then, if the seat belt is still unfas-
tened, the buzzer will sound in a different tone for 20 more seconds.
Tire pressure warning light
When the light comes on:
Low tire inflation pressure such
as • Natural causes ( P. 5 0 9 )
• Flat tire ( P. 5 4 1 )
Adjust the tire inflation pressure
to the specified level.
The light will turn off after a
few minutes. In case the light
does not turn off even if the
tire inflation pressure is

When trouble arises
■Warning message in radar cruise mode (if equipped)
In the following cases, the warning message may not be displayed even if vehicle-to-
vehicle distance decreases:
●When your vehicle and the vehicle ahead are traveling at the same speed or the
vehicle ahead is traveling more quickly than your vehicle
●When the vehicle ahead is traveling at a very low speed
●Immediately after cruise control speed is set
●At the instant the accelerator pedal is depressed
■The LKA (Lane-Keeping Assist) lane departure warning function (if equipped)
In the following cases, the warning message will not be displayed even if a lane line is
crossed.
●When the vehicle speed deviates from the operating range of the LKA system
functions
●When the lane lines cannot be recognized
●When the steering wheel is turned as far as necessary to cause the vehicle to
change lanes
■Open door warning message
The open door warning message continues to display until a door or the trunk is fully
closed, even if the power switch is turned off. However, approximately 20 minutes
after a door or the trunk is not fully closed, the 12-volt battery-saving function oper-
ates and the display turns off even though a door or the trunk is not fully closed.

When trouble arises
One of the following may be the cause of the problem:
●One or both of the 12-volt battery terminals may be disconnected.
●The 12-volt battery may be discharged. ( P. 562)
Contact your Lexus dealer if the problem cannot be repaired, or if repair proce-
dures are unknown.
When the hybrid system does not start, the following steps can be used as
an interim measure to star t the hybrid system if the power switch is func-
tioning normally:
Set the parking brake.
Shift the shift lever to P.
Turn the power switch to ACCESSORY mode.
Press and hold the power switch fo r about 15 seconds while depressing
the brake pedal firmly.
Even if the hybrid system can be star ted using the above steps, the system
may be malfunctioning. Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
The interior lights and headlights do not turn on, or the horn does
not sound.

When trouble arises
■Stopping the hybrid system
Shift the shift lever to P and press the power switch as you normally do when stop-
ping the hybrid system.
■Replacing the key battery
As the above procedure is a temporary measure, it is recommended that the elec-
tronic key battery be replaced immedi ately when the battery is depleted. (P. 4 6 0 )
■Changing power switch modes
Release the brake pedal and press the power switch in step above.
The hybrid system does not start and modes will be changed each time the switch is
pressed.( P. 1 9 4 )
■When the electronic key does not work properly
●Make sure that the smart access system with push-button start has not been deac-
tivated in the customization setting. If it is off, turn the function on.
(Customizable features:  P. 599)
●Check if battery-saving mode is set. If it is set, cancel the function. ( P. 1 2 9 )
CAUTION
■When using the mechanical key and operating the power windows and moon
roof
Operate the power window or moon roof af ter checking to make sure that there is
no possibility of any passenger having any of their body parts caught in the window
or moon roof.
Also, do not allow children to operate the mechanical key. It is possible for children
and other passengers to get caught in the power window or moon roof.

When trouble arises
Start the engine of the second vehicle. Increase the engine speed
slightly and maintain at that le vel for approximately 5 minutes to
recharge the 12-volt battery of your vehicle.
Open and close any of th e doors of your vehicle with the power switch
off.
Maintain the engine speed of the se cond vehicle and start the hybrid
system of your vehicle by turning the power switch to ON mode.
Make sure the “READY” indicator co mes on. If the indicator does not
come on, contact your Lexus dealer.
Once the hybrid system has started, remove the jumper cables in the
exact reverse order from wh ich they were connected.
Once the hybrid system starts, have the vehicle inspected at your Lexus
dealer as soon as possible.
■Starting the hybrid system when the 12-volt battery is discharged
The hybrid system cannot be started by push-starting.
■To prevent 12-volt battery discharge
●Turn off the headlights and the audio system while the hybrid system is off.
●Turn off any unnecessary electrical compon ents when the vehicle is running at a
low speed for an extended period, such as in heavy traffic.
■Charging the 12-volt battery
The electricity stored in the 12-volt battery will discharge gradually even when the
vehicle is not in use, due to natural discharge and the draining effects of certain elec-
trical appliances. If the vehicle is left for a long time, the 12-volt battery may dis-
charge, and the hybrid system may be unable to start. (The 12-volt battery recharges
automatically while the hybrid system is operating.)

■When recharging or replacing the 12-volt battery
●Make sure that the key is not inside the vehicle when recharging or replacing the
12-volt battery. The key may be locked in the vehicle if the alarm is activated.

●In some cases, it may not be possible to unlock the doors using the smart access
system with push-button start when the 12-volt battery is discharged. Use the wire-
less remote control or the mechanical key to lock or unlock the doors.
●The hybrid system may not start on the fir st attempt after the 12-volt battery has
recharged but will start normally after the second attempt. This is not a malfunction.
●The power switch mode is memorized by the vehicle. When the 12-volt battery is
reconnected, the system will return to the mode it was in before the 12-volt battery
was discharged. Before disconnecting the 12 -volt battery, turn the power switch off.
If you are unsure what mode the power switch was in before the 12-volt battery dis-
charged, be especially careful when reconnecting the 12-volt battery.
CAUTION
■Avoiding 12-volt battery fires or explosions
Observe the following precautions to prev ent accidentally igniting the flammable
gas that may be emitted from the 12-volt battery:
●Make sure each jumper cable is connected to the correct terminal and that it is
not unintentionally in contact with any other than the intended terminal.
●Do not allow the other end of the jumper cable connected to the “+” terminal to
come into contact with any other parts or metal surfaces in the area, such as
brackets or unpainted metal.
●Do not allow the + and - clamps of the jumper cables to come into contact with
each other.
●Do not smoke, use matches, cigarette lighters or allow open flame near the 12-
volt battery.
