Warning lights and indicators
The warning lights and indicators on th
e instrument cluster and center panel
inform the driver of the status of the vehicle’s various systems.
For the purpose of explanation, the following illustrations display all warning
lights and indicators illuminated.

*1: These lights turn on when the engine switch is turned to IGNITION ON mode toindicate that a system check is being performed. They will turn off after the engine is
on, or after a few seconds. There may be a ma lfunction in a system if the lights do not
come on, or turn off. Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
*2: The light flashes to indicate that the system is operating.
*3: The light comes on when the system is turned off. The light flashes faster than usual to indicate that the system is operating.
*4: In order to confirm operation, the BSM outside rear view mirror indicators illuminatein the following situations:
• When the engine switch is turned to IGNITION ON mode while the BSM main switch is set to ON.
• When the BSM main switch is set to ON while the engine switch is in IGNITION
ON mode.
If the system is functioning correctly, the BSM outside rear view mirror indicators will
turn off after a few seconds.
If the BSM outside rear view mirror indicators do not illuminate or do not turn off,
there may be a malfunction in the system.
If this occurs, have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
*5: This light illuminates on the outside rear view mirrors.
*6: This light illuminates on the center panel.
*7: When the outside temperature is approximately 37 °F (3 °C) or lower, the indicator
will flash for approximately 10 seconds, then stay on.

CAUTION
■If a safety system warning light does not come on
Should a safety system light such as the ABS and SRS warning light not come on when
you start the engine, this could mean that these systems are not available to help pro-
tect you in an accident, which could result in death or serious injury. Have the vehicle
inspected by your Lexus dealer immediately if this occurs.

The brightness of the instrument panel lights can be adjusted. Darker
Brighter
■The meters and display illuminate when
The engine switch is in IGNITION ON mode.
■Instrument panel brightness adjustment
The instrument panel brightness levels when the tail lights are on and off can be adjusted
individually. However, when the surroundings ar e bright (daytime, etc.), turning on the tail
lights will not change the instrument panel brightness. At this time, any adjustments made
to the instrument panel brightness levels w ill be applied to both settings at once.
■Outside temperature display
In the following situations, the correct outside temperature may not be displayed, or the
display may take longer than normal to change.
●When stopped, or driving at low speeds (less than 12 mph [20 km/h])
●When the outside temperature has changed suddenly (at the entrance/exit of a garage,
tunnel, etc.)
■Pop-up display
In some situations, such as when a switch op eration is performed, a pop-up display, such
as the operating methods of the headlight switch, will be temporarily displayed on the
multi-information display or the odometer/t rip meter screen (F SPORT models only).
The pop-up display function can be set on/off. ( →P. 8 9 )
■Liquid crystal display
Small spots or light spots may appear on the display. This phenomenon is characteristic
of liquid crystal displays, and there is no problem continuing to use the display.

■Distance (driving range/after start)*
Displays the estimated maximum distance that can be driven with the quantity
of fuel remaining and the distance driven after the engine was started respec-
tively.
• This distance is computed based on your average fuel consumption. As a result, the actual distance that can be driven may differ from that displayed.
• When only a small amount of fuel is added to the tank, the display may not be
updated.
When refueling, turn the engine switch off. If the vehicle is refueled without turning
the engine switch off, the display may not be updated.

tions, on/off.
• Route guidance display of the navigation system-linked system (if equipped)

• Windshield wiper switch operation display (if equipped)
• Headlight switch operation display (if equipped)
• Dynamic radar cruise control operation display (if equipped)
• Instrument panel brightness adjustment display
• Main meter switch operation display (F SPORT models)
■Accent color (except F SPORT models)
Select to change the accent colors on the screen, such as the cursor color.
■Needle (F SPORT models)
Select to change the needle color for the tachometer.
■Speed indicator (F SPORT models)
Select to set the speed indicator on/
off.
When set to on, both sides of the dis-
played speed unit will turn yellow
when the vehicle reaches a set
speed.

When set to on, the tachometer will

when the engine reaches a set speed.

■Rev peak (F SPORT models)
Select to set the rev peak on/off.
When set to on and the engine speed
reaches or exceeds 5000 rpm, an
afterimage of the tachometer will be
displayed at the highest engine
speed for approximately 0.5 sec-
onds.
■Initialization
Select to reset the meter display settings. ( →P. 5 3 8 )
■Eco Driving Indicator
Eco Driving Indicator will not operate under the following conditions:
●The shift lever is in any position other than D.
●A paddle shift switch is operated.
●Neither normal mode nor Eco drive mode is selected. ( →P. 2 3 7 )
●The vehicle speed is approximately 80 mph (130 km/h) or higher.
■Suspension of the settings display
In the following situations, the settings display using the meter control switches will be
suspended.
●When a warning message appears on the multi-information display
●When the vehicle begins to move
Eco Driving Indicator Light
During Eco-friendly acceleration (Eco driv-
ing), the Eco Driving Indicator Light will turn
on. When the acceleration exceeds the Zone
of Eco driving, or when the vehicle is stopped,
the light turns off.
Eco Driving Indicator Zone Display
Suggests the Zone of Eco driving with current
Eco driving ratio based on acceleration.
Eco driving ratio based on acceleration
If the acceleration exceeds the Zone of Eco
driving, the right side of the Eco Driving Indi-
cator Zone Display will illuminate.

Operation of each component

To take out the mechanical key, push
the release button and take the key out.
The mechanical key can only be
inserted in one direction, as the key only
has grooves on one side. If the key can-
not be inserted in a lock cylinder, turn it
over and re-attempt to insert it.
After using the mechanical key, store it
in the electronic key. Carry the mechan-
ical key together with the electronic key.
If the electronic key battery is depleted
or the entry function does not operate
properly, you will need the mechanical

■Pa ni c m o d e
Using the mechanical key
When is pressed for longer than about
one second, an alarm will sound intermittently
and the vehicle lights will flash to deter any per-
son from trying to break into or damage your
vehicle.
To stop the alarm, press any button on the elec-
tronic key.
