Using the door lock switch
Carry only the key (including the card key∗) to which you want to link
the driving position. If 2 or more keys are in the vehicle, the driving
position cannot be linked properly.
Turn the “ENGINE START STOP” switch OFF and close the
driver's door.
While pressing the desired button
(“1”, “2” or “3”), press the lock or
unlock side on the driver’s door
lock switch until the signal beeps.
The driving position is recalled
when the driver's door is unlocked
using the entry function or wireless
remote control and the driver's
door is opened.

Before driving
nCanceling the linked door unlock operation
Turn the “ENGINE START STOP” switch OFF and close the driver's door.
Using the wireless remote control: While pushing the “SET” button, press
on the wireless remote control until the signal beeps.
Using the door lock switch: While pressing the “SET” button, press the
lock or unlock side on the door lock switch until the signal beeps.
nOperating the driving position memory after turning the “ENGINE START
STOP” switch OFF
Memorized positions (except for the steering wheel positions) can be activated up
to 180 seconds after the driver's door is opened and another 60 seconds after it is
closed again, even after turning the “ENGINE START STOP” switch OFF.
nTo cancel seat position recall
Perform any of the following operations.
lPush the “SET” button.
lPush button “1”, “2” or “3”.
lAdjust the seat using the switches (only cancels seat position recall).
nIf the battery is disconnected
The memorized positions are erased when the battery is disconnected.
CAUTION
nSeat adjustment caution
Take care during seat adjustment that the seat does not strike the rear passenger or
squeeze your body against the steering wheel.

nOperating the power windows after turning the “ENGINE START STOP” switch
OFF
The power windows can be operated for approximately 45 seconds even after the
“ENGINE START STOP” switch is switched to ACCESSORY mode or turned
OFF. They cannot, however, be operated once either front door is opened.
nJam protection function
If an object becomes caught between the window and the window frame, window
travel is stopped and the window is opened slightly.
nCustomization that can be configured at Lexus dealer
Settings (e.g. linked door lock operation) can be changed.

CAUTION
nClosing the windows
Observe the following precautions.
Failing to do so may result in death or serious injury.
lCheck to make sure that all passengers do not have any part of their body in a
position where it could be caught when a window is being operated.
lDo not allow children to operate the power windows.
Closing a power window on someone can cause serious injury, and in some
instances, even death.
nJam protection function
lNever try jamming any part of your body to activate the jam protection function
intentionally.
lThe jam protection function may not work if something gets caught just before
the window fully closes.

nMoon roof open warning buzzer
The buzzer sounds and a message is shown on the multi-information display in the
instrument panel when the “ENGINE START STOP” switch is turned OFF and the
driver's door is opened with the moon roof open.
nLinked door lock moon roof operation
lThe moon roof can be opened and closed using the mechanical key. (→P. 41 7 )
lThe moon roof can be opened using the wireless remote control. (→P. 36 )
lThe moon roof can be closed using the entry function. (→P. 25 )
nOperating the moon roof after turning the “ENGINE START STOP” switch OFF
The moon roof can be operated for approximately 45 seconds even after the
“ENGINE START STOP” switch is switched to ACCESSORY mode or turned
OFF. It cannot, however, be operated once either front door is opened.
nJam protection function
If an object is detected between the moon roof and the frame while closing or tilting
down, travel is stopped and the moon roof opens slightly.
nWhen the moon roof does not close normally
Pressing and holding the “CLOSE” switch will close the moon roof.
nTo reduce moon roof wind noise
Drive with the moon roof opened to slightly before the fully open position as driving
with the moon roof opened fully will cause wind noise.
nSunshade
The sunshade can be opened and closed manually. However, the sunshade will
open automatically when the moon roof is opened.
nCustomization that can be configured at Lexus dealer

Garage door opener
The garage door opener (HomeLink® Universal Transceiver) is manufactured
under license from HomeLink®.
Programming the HomeLink® (for U.S.A. owners)
The HomeLink® compatible transceiver in your vehicle has 3 buttons
which can be programmed to operate 3 different devices. Refer to the
programming method below appropriate for the device.

Test the HomeLink® operation by

If a HomeLink® button has been
programmed for a garage door,
check to see if the garage door

door does not operate, see if your
remote control transmitter is of the
rolling code type. Press and hold
the programmed HomeLink® but-
ton. The remote control transmitter
is of the rolling code type if the
HomeLink® indicator light flashes
rapidly for 2 seconds and then
remains lit. If your transmitter is of
the rolling code type, proceed to
the heading “Programming a roll-
ing code system”.
Repeat the steps above to program another device for each of
the remaining HomeLink® buttons.

nProgramming a Rolling Code system (for U.S.A. owners)
If your device is Rolling Code equipped, follow the steps under the
heading “Programming the HomeLink®” before proceeding with the
steps listed below.
Locate the training button on the ceiling mounted garage door
opener motor. The exact location and color of the button may
vary by brand of garage door opener motor.
Refer to the operation manual supplied with the garage door opener
motor for the location of the training button.
Press the training button.
Following this step, you have 30 seconds in which to initiate step 3
below.
Press and hold the vehicle's programmed HomeLink® button for
2 seconds and release it. Repeat this step once again. The garage
door may open.
If the garage door opens, the programming process is complete. If the
door does not open, press and release the button a third time. This third
press and release will complete the programming process by opening
the garage door.
The ceiling mounted garage door opener motor should now recognize
the HomeLink® signal and operate the garage door.
Repeat the steps above to program another rolling code system
for any of the remaining HomeLink® buttons.
nProgramming an entry gate (for U.S.A. owners)/Programming all
devices in the Canadian market
Place your transmitter 1 to 3 in. (25 to 75 mm) away from the sur-
face of the HomeLink®.
Keep the HomeLink® indicator light in view while programming.
Press and hold the selected HomeLink® button.
Repeatedly press and release (cycle) the device’s remote control
button for two seconds each until step 4 is complete.
When the indicator light on the HomeLink® compatible trans-
ceiver start to flashing rapidly, release the buttons.

Erasing the entire HomeLink® memory (all three programs)
Press and hold the 2 outside but-
tons for 10 seconds until the indi-
cator light flashes.
If you sell your vehicle, be sure to
erase the programs stored in the
HomeLink® memory.
nBefore programming
lInstall a new battery in the remote control transmitter.
lThe battery side of the remote control transmitter must be pointed away from
the HomeLink® button.
nCertification for the garage door opener
This device complies with Part 15 of the FCC Rules and with RSS-210 of the IC
Rules.
Operation is subject to the following two conditions: (1) This device may not cause
harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference received,
including interference that may cause undesired operation.

Changes or modifications not expressly approved by the party responsible for
compliance could void the user's authority to operate the device.

CAUTION
nWhen programming a garage door or other remote control device
The garage door on other devices may operate, so ensure people and objects are
out of danger to prevent potential harm.
nConforming to federal safety standards
Do not use the HomeLink® Compatible Transceiver with any garage door opener
or device that lacks safety stop and reverse features as required by federal safety
standards.
This includes any garage door that cannot detect an interfering object. A door or
device without these features increases the risk of death or serious injury.

nIf the electronic key battery is discharged
The following symptoms may occur.
lThe smart access system with push-button start and wireless remote control will
not function properly.
lThe operational range is reduced.
nUse a CR1632 lithium battery
lBatteries can be purchased at your Lexus dealer, jewelers, or camera stores.
lReplace only with the same or equivalent type recommended by a Lexus dealer.
lDispose of used batteries according to the local laws.
nWhen the card key battery needs to be replaced (if equipped)
The battery for the card key is available only at Lexus dealers. Your Lexus dealer
can replace the battery for you.
CAUTION
nRemoved battery and other parts
Keep away from children.
These parts are small and if swallowed by a child they can cause choking.
NOTICE
nFor normal operation after replacing the battery
Observe the following precautions to prevent accidents.
lAlways work with dry hands.
Moisture may cause the battery to rust.
lDo not touch or move any other components inside the remote control.
lDo not bend either of the battery terminals.
