Indicates that the vehicle has deviated from the lane
(while the LDA [Lane Departure Alert with steering con-
trol] system is operating)The lane line on the side the vehicle has deviated from
flashes in amber.
A buzzer also sounds.
 Check around the vehicle and back to inside of the
lane lines.
Indicates that:
• The brake fluid level is low; or
• The brake system is malfunctioning
A buzzer also sounds.
 Immediately stop the vehicle in a safe place and
contact your Lexus dealer. Continuing to drive the
vehicle may be dangerous.
Indicates that one or more of the doors is not fully closed The system also indicates which doors are not fully
closed.
If the vehicle reaches a speed of 3 mph (5 km/h),
flashes and a buzzer sounds to indicate
that the door(s) are not yet fully closed.
 Make sure that all the doors are closed.

Indicates that the shift position was changed and Drive-
Start Control was operated while depressing the accel-
erator pedal A buzzer also sounds.
 Momentarily release the accelerator pedal.
Indicates that the shift lever was used to attempt to shift
to the first gear position in M mode on a slippery road
surface
The gear position will not shift from the second gear.
A buzzer also sounds.
 Drive the vehicle in the second or a higher gear
position.
Indicates that the LDA (Lane Departure Alert with steer-
ing control) system has dete rmined that the driver does
not have the hands on the steering wheel while the steer-
ing control function is on If the driver operates the steering wheel only a small
amount, the system may be unable to detect the steer-
ing wheel operations and this warning may be dis-
played.
A buzzer also sounds.
 Firmly hold the steering wheel.

push-button startA buzzer also sounds.
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.

Indicates that a Blind Spot Monitor sensor or the sur-
rounding area on the bumper is dirty or covered with ice
A buzzer also sounds.
 Clean off the dirt, snow, ice, etc. and drive the vehi-
cle with the operation conditions of the BSM func-
tion ( P. 290) satisfied for approximately 10
minutes. If the warning me ssage does not disappear,
the sensor may be misaligned. Have the vehicle
inspected by your Lexus dealer.
Indicates a malfunction in the dynamic radar cruise con-
trol system Press the “ON/OFF” button once to deactivate the
system, and then press the button again to reactivate
the system.
A buzzer also sounds.
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.
Indicates a malfunction in the LDA (Lane Departure
Alert with steering control) system
A buzzer also sounds.
 Have the vehicle inspected by your Lexus dealer.

■Warning messages
The warning message illustrations used are intended as examples, and may differ from
the image that is actually displayed on the multi-information display.
■Warning message in radar cruise mode
In the following cases, the warning message may not be displa yed even if vehicle-to-vehi-
cle distance decreases:
● When your vehicle and the vehicle ahead ar e traveling at the same speed or the vehi-
cle ahead is traveling more quickly than your vehicle
●When the vehicle ahead is traveling at a very low speed
●Immediately after cruise control speed is set
●At the instant the accelerator pedal is depressed
■The LDA (Lane Departure Alert with steering control) lane departure warning func-
tion
In the following situations, th e warning message will not be displayed even if a lane line is
crossed.
●When the vehicle speed deviates from the operating range of the LDA system func-
tions ( P. 245)
●When the lane lines cannot be recognized ( P. 247)
■Resetting the message indicating ma intenance is required (if equipped)

WARNING
■When using the compact spare tire
●Remember that the compact spare tire provided is specifically designed for use with
your vehicle. Do not use your comp act spare tire on another vehicle.
●Do not use more than one compact spare tires simultaneously.
●Replace the compact spare tire with a standard tire as soon as possible.
●Avoid sudden acceleration, abrupt steering, sudden braking and shifting operations
that cause sudden engine braking.
■When the compact spare tire is attached
The vehicle speed may not be correctly detected, and the following systems may not
operate correctly:
Also, not only can the following system not be utilized fully, but it may even negatively
affect the drive-train components:
•AWD system
■Speed limit when using the compact spare tire
Do not drive at speeds in excess of 50 mph (80 km/h) when a compact spare tire is
installed on the vehicle.
The compact spare tire is not designed for driving at high speeds. Failure to observe
this precaution may lead to an accident causing death or serious injury.
■After using the tools and jack
Before driving, make sure all the tools and jack are securely in place in their storage
location to reduce the possibilit y of personal injury during a collision or sudden brak-
ing.

One of the following may be the cause of the problem:
●One or both of the battery terminals may be disconnected.
●The battery may be discharged. (P. 575)
●There may be a malfunction in the steering lock system.
Contact your Lexus dealer if the problem cannot be repaired, or if repair procedures
are unknown.
When the engine does not start, the follo wing steps can be used as an interim
measure to start the engine if the engine switch is functioning normally:
Set the parking brake.
Shift the shift lever to P.
Turn the engine switch to ACCESSORY mode.
Press and hold the engine switch for about 15 seconds while depressing the
brake pedal firmly.
Even if the engine can be started using the above steps, the system may be mal-
functioning. Have the vehicle in spected by your Lexus dealer.
The starter motor does not turn over, the interior lights and headlights
do not turn on, or the horn does not sound.
