7 Register the Bluetooth® device
using your Bluetooth® device.
 A PIN code is not required for SSP
(Secure Simple Pairing) compatible
Bluetooth® devices. Depending on
the type of Bluetooth® device being
connected, a message confirming
registration may be displayed on the
Bluetooth® device’s screen.
Respond and operate the
Bluetooth® device according to the
confirmation message.
8 Check that the following screen is
displayed, indicating pairing was
successful.
 The system is connecting to the reg-
istered device.
 At this stage, the Bluetooth® func-
tions are not yet available.
9 Check that “Connected” is dis-
played and registration is complete.
 If an error message is displayed, fol-
low the guidance on the screen to
try again.
●If a cellular phone does not operate prop-
erly after being connected, turn the cellu- lar phone off and on and then connect it again.
■Registering from phone
When registering from the navigation
system is failed, or the phone name
doesn’t appear on the registering
screen, you need to connect the
Bluetooth® phone manually.
1 Press the “MENU” button on the
Remote Touch.
2 Select “Setup”.
3 Select “Bluetooth*” on the sub
menu.

4 Select “Yes” to register the new

The contrast and brightness of the
screen can be adjusted according to
the brightness of your surroundings.

A short while later after the following methods, the display automatically switches
to map screen:
 Press the “MAP” button on the Remote Touch.
 Press the “MENU” button on the Remote Touch, then select “Destination” on
the “Menu” screen.
■After calculating a route to a new destination
Select to zoom in/out the map scale. ( P.70)
Displays the distance to the next turn with the arrow indicating the turn direc-
tion. When the arrow icon is selected, the last navigation announcement will be
repeated.
Displays information about the destination, such as estimated arrival time,
remaining travel time, distance, and traffic prediction information.
• Each time this area is selected, the inform ation will change between the arrival time and
remaining travel time to the destination.
Displays traffic events on the route.
• The remaining length and the re maining delay time are displayed.
Displays the name of the current street or the next street.

Select to pause or resume route guidance.
Select to display the traffic messages. It displays a list of traffic messages relat-
ing to the set route, all traffic messages, and warnings. ( P.76)
Select to display fuel station information. The location and fuel price can also be

Select to display parking lot information. The location, price and available
spaces of parking lots can be checked. ( P.226)

2 Select “Continue”.
 After about a few seconds, the cau-
tion screen automatically switches
to the map screen.
When starting the navigation system,
the current position is displayed first.
This screen displays the current vehicle
position and a map of the surrounding
area.

Touch, the display automatically
switches to map screen.
 The current vehicle position mark
appears in the centre of the map
screen.
●While driving, the current vehicle posi- tion mark is fixed on the screen and the map moves.
●The current position is automatically set as the vehicle receives signals from the
GPS (Global Positioning System). If the current position is not correct, it is auto-matically corrected after the vehicle
receives signals from the GPS.
●After battery disconnection, or on a new vehicle, the current position may not be correct. As soon as the system receives
signals from the GPS, the correct current position is displayed.
