CLOCK
14L46
The digital clock indicates the time with the ignition key at the
”ACC” or ”ON” position. To reset the hour, press the ”H”
button. To reset the minutes, press the ”M” button. To adjust
the time to the nearest hour, press the ”:00” button.
For example, if the ”:00” button is pressed when the time is between
9:30 9:59 or between 10:01 10:29, the time will change to 10:00.
Once the electrical power source has been disconnected from the
clock, the time is automatically set to 1:00.
For vehicles equipped with Navigation System, refer to the
separate ”Owner’s Manual for Navigation System”.
OUTSIDE TEMPERATURE DISPLAY
14L026-4
This display shows the outside temperature when the ignition
switch is on.
The displayed temperature ranges from 30C (22F) up to 50C
(122F). If the temperature does not appear on the display or it
shows ” ”, take your vehicle to your Lexus dealer.

door, insert the master key and turn it clockwise.
With the tail lights on, the glovebox light will come on when the
glovebox door is open.
CAUTION
To reduce the chance of injury in case of an accident or a
sudden stop, always keep the glovebox door closed while
driving.
GARAGE DOOR OPENER
Garage door openers manufactured under the license from
HomeLink can be programmed in the garage door opener on
the vehicle.

This garage door opener has 3 buttons and you can store one
program for each button.
1. Decide which one of the 3 buttons you want to program. Push and
hold down one of the buttons until its indicator light begins to flash.
While holding this button, follow the step ”2”.
2. Bring the original garage door opener closer to the garage door
opener equipped on the vehicle within about 25 mm (1 in.) and push
the button on the original garage door opener. The signal from the
original garage door opener is sent to the one to be programmed.

TRUNK LID
15L0171
To unlock the trunk lid, insert the master key and turn it
clockwise.
To close the trunk lid, lower it and press down on it. After closing
the trunk lid, try pulling it up to make sure it is securely closed.
The trunk lid can be unlocked using the wireless remote control key.
For details, see page 14.
15L015-1
To open the trunk lid, push it up. It fully opens. However, to
prevent a rain from entering the vehicle, it is designed to stop
partway when you pull down the fully opened trunk lid lightly.
CAUTION
Keep the trunk lid closed while driving. This not only keeps
the luggage from being thrown out, but also prevents exhaust
gases from entering the vehicle.

FUEL TANK CAP
15L006
1. To open the fuel filler door, pull the lever under the
instrument panel.
When refueling, turn off the engine.
CAUTION
Do not smoke, cause sparks or allow open flames when
refuelling. The fumes are flammable.
When opening the cap, do not remove the cap quickly. In
hot weather, fuel under pressure could cause injury by
spraying out of the filler neck if the cap is suddenly
removed.
15L007-1
2. To remove the fuel tank cap, turn the cap slowly
counterclockwise, then pause slightly before removing it. The
removed cap can be stored on the back side of the fuel filler door.
It is not unusual to hear a slight swoosh when the cap is opened.
When installing the cap, turn the cap clockwise until you hear a click.
If the cap is not tightened securely, the malfunction indicator lamp
comes on. Make sure the cap is tightened securely.
The indicator lamp goes off after driving several times. If the
indicator lamp does not go off, contact your Lexus dealer as soon as
possible.

4. Loosen all the wheel nuts.
Always loosen the wheel nuts before raising the vehicle.
Turn the nuts counterclockwise to loosen them. To get maximum
leverage, fit the wrench to the nut so that the handle is on the right
side, as shown above. Grab the wrench near the end of the handle
and pull up on the handle. Be careful that the wrench does not slip
off the nut.
Do not remove the nuts yet just unscrew them about onehalf turn.
40L0091
5. Position the jack at the jack points as shown.
Make sure the jack is positioned on a level and solid surface.

6. After making sure no one is in the vehicle, raise it high enough
so that the spare tire can be installed.
Allow for the fact that you need more ground clearance when putting
on the spare tire than when removing the flat tire.
To raise the vehicle, insert the jack handle into the jack (it is a loose
fit) and turn it clockwise. As the jack touches the vehicle and begins
to lift, doublecheck that it is properly positioned.
CAUTION
Never get under the vehicle when the vehicle is supported by
the jack alone.
40L0111
7. Remove the wheel nuts and remove the flat tire.
Lift the flat tire straight off and put it aside.
40L0121
Before putting on the wheel, remove any corrosion on the mounting
surfaces with a wire brush or such. Installation of wheels without
good metaltometal contact at the mounting surface can cause
wheel nuts to loosen and eventually cause a wheel to come off while
driving.

8. Reinstall all the wheel nuts finger tight.
Align the holes in the wheel with the bolts. Then lift up the wheel
and get at least the top bolt started through its hole. Wiggle the tire
and press it back over the other bolts.
Reinstall the wheel nuts and tighten them as much as you can by
hand. Press the tire back and see if you can tighten them more.
40L0141
9. Lower the vehicle completely and tighten the wheel nuts.
Turn the jack handle counterclockwise to lower the vehicle.
Use only the wheel nut wrench to tighten the nuts. Do not use other
tools or any additional leverage other than your hands, such as a
hammer, pipe or your foot. Make sure the wrench is securely
engaged over the nut.
Tighten each nut a little at a time in the order shown. Repeat the
process until all the nuts are tight.
CAUTION
When lowering the vehicle, make sure all portions of your
body and all other persons around will not be injured as the
vehicle is lowered to the ground.
As soon as possible after changing wheels, have the wheel
nuts tightened by torque wrench at 103 N·m (10.5 kgf·m, 76
ft·lbf.).
