Rear Seats
WARNING: Persons who are unableto feel pain to the skin because ofadvanced age, chronic illness, diabetes,spinal cord injury, medication, alcohol use,exhaustion, or other physical conditions,must exercise care when using the seatheater. The seat heater may cause burnseven at low temperatures, especially ifused for long periods of time. Do not placeanything on the seat that insulates againstheat, such as a blanket or cushion,because this may cause the seat heater tooverheat. Do not puncture the seat withpins, needles, or other pointed objectsbecause this may damage the heatingelement which may cause the seat heaterto overheat. An overheated seat maycause serious personal injury.

The heated seat module resets at everyignition run cycle. While the ignition is on,press the high or low heated seat switch toenable heating mode. When activated, theywill turn off automatically when you turn theengine off.

Ventilated Seats
Note:The ventilated seats switch on duringa remote start if they are enabled throughthe information displays. See GeneralInformation (page 119).

•Spill liquid on the front seats. This maycause the air vent holes to becomeblocked and not work properly.
•Place cargo or objects under the seats.They may block the air intake causingthe air vents to not work properly.
The ventilated seats only function when theengine is running.
Press this symbol to cycle through thevarious ventilation settings and off. Moreindicator lights indicate higher fan speeds.
If the engine falls below 350 RPM while theventilated seats are on, the feature turnsitself off. You need to reactivate it.
Note:To improve comfort, use the ventilatedseats along with the vehicle’s airconditioning system.

HomeLink Wireless Control System
WARNING: Make sure that thegarage door and security device are freefrom obstruction when you areprogramming. Do not program the systemwith the vehicle in the garage.
WARNING: Do not use the systemwith any garage door opener that does nothave the safety stop and reverse featureas required by U.S. Federal SafetyStandards (this includes any garage dooropener manufactured before April 1, 1982).A garage door opener which cannot detectan object, signaling the door to stop andreverse, does not meet current federalsafety standards. Using a garage dooropener without these features increasesthe risk of serious injury or death.
Note:Make sure you keep the originalremote control transmitter for use in othervehicles as well as for future systemprogramming.
Note:We recommend that upon the sale orlease termination of your vehicle, you erasethe programmed function buttons for securityreasons. See Erasing the Function ButtonCodes later in this section.
Note:You can program a maximum of threedevices. To change or replace any of thethree devices after it has been initiallyprogrammed, you must first erase the currentsettings. See Erasing the Function ButtonCodes.
The universal garage door opener replacesthe common hand-held garage door openerwith a three-button transmitter integratedinto the driver’s sun visor.
The system includes two primary features, agarage door opener and a platform forremote activation of devices within the home.You can program garage doors as well asentry gate operators, security systems, entrydoor locks and home or office lighting.

In-Vehicle Programming
This process is to program your in-vehicleHomeLink function button with yourhand-held transmitter.
Note:The programming steps below assumeyou will be programming HomeLink that wasnot previously programmed. If yourHomeLink was previously programmed, youmay need to erase your HomeLink buttons.See Erasing the Function Button Codes.
Note:Put a new battery in the hand-heldtransmitter. This helps ensure quickertraining and accurate transmission of theradio-frequency signal.

1. With your vehicle parked outside of thegarage, switch your ignition to the onposition, but do not start your vehicle.
2. Press and release the function buttonthat you would like to program.
3. Hold your hand-held garage doortransmitter 1–3 in (2–8 cm) away from theHomeLink button you want to program.
4.Press and hold the hand-held transmitterbutton you want to program whilewatching the indicator light on HomeLink.Continue to hold the hand-held buttonuntil the HomeLink indicator light flashesrapidly or is continuously on.
Note:You may need to use a differentmethod if you live in Canada or havedifficulties programming your gate operatoror garage door opener. See Gate Operator/ Canadian Programming.
5.Press and hold the HomeLink button youprogrammed for two seconds, thenrelease. You may need to do this twiceto activate the door. If your garage doordoes not operate, watch the HomeLinkindicator light.
If the indicator light stays on, theprogramming is complete. Your deviceshould activate when the HomeLink buttonis pressed and released.
If the indicator light flashes rapidly, press andhold for two seconds and release theprogrammed HomeLink button. Repeat the"press/hold/release" sequence up to threetimes to complete the programming process.If your device still does not operate, you mustprogram your garage door. SeeProgramming Your Garage Door OpenerMotor.
To program additional buttons, repeat Steps1 – 4.

Programming Your Garage Door OpenerMotor
Note:You may need a ladder to reach theunit and you may need to remove the coveror lamp lens on your garage door opener.
1. Press the learn button on the garagedoor opener motor and then you have30 seconds to complete the next twosteps.
2. Return to your vehicle.

3. Press and hold the function button youwant to program for 2 seconds, thenrelease. Repeat this step. Depending onyour brand of garage door opener, youmay need to repeat this sequence a thirdtime.
Gate Operator / Canadian Programming
Canadian radio-frequency laws requiretransmitter signals to “time-out” (or quit) afterseveral seconds of transmission – which maynot be long enough for HomeLink to pick upthe signal during programming. Similar tothis Canadian law, some U.S. gate operatorsare designed to “time-out” in the samemanner.
Note:If programming a garage door openeror gate operator, it is advised to unplug thedevice during the “cycling” process toprevent possible overheating.
1. Press and release, every two seconds,your hand-held transmitter until theHomeLink indicator light changes to arapidly blinking or continuously on light.
2.Release the hand-held transmitter button.
3. Continue programing HomeLink. SeeIn-Vehicle Programming, Step 4.
Erasing the Function Button Codes
Note:You cannot erase individual buttons.
1. Press and hold the outer two functionbuttons simultaneously for approximately10 seconds until the indicator light abovethe buttons flashes rapidly.
2.When the indicator light flashes, releasethe buttons. You erased the codes for allbuttons.
Reprogramming a Single Button
To program a device to a previously trainedbutton, follow these steps:
1. Press and hold the desired button. DoNOT release the button.

2. The indicator light begins to flash after20 seconds. Without releasing thebutton, follow Step 1 in the Programmingsection.

12 Volt DC Power Point
WARNING: Do not plug optionalelectrical accessories into the cigar lightersocket. Incorrect use of the cigar lightercan cause damage not covered by thevehicle warranty, and can result in fire orserious injury.
Note:When you switch the ignition on, youcan use the socket to power 12 voltappliances with a maximum current ratingof 15 amps.
If the power supply does not work after youswitch the ignition off, switch the ignition on.Note:Do not hang any accessory from theaccessory plug.
Note:Do not use the power point over thevehicle capacity of 12 volt DC 180 watts ora fuse may blow.
Note:Always keep the power point capsclosed when not in use.
Do not insert objects other than an accessoryplug into the power point. This damages thepower point and may blow the fuse.
Run the vehicle for full capacity use of thepower point.
To prevent the battery from running out ofcharge:
•Do not use the power point longer thannecessary when the vehicle is notrunning.
•Do not leave devices plugged inovernight or when you park your vehiclefor extended periods.
USB Port and Power Point Locations
USB Ports and Power Points may be in thefollowing locations:
•On the lower instrument panel.
•Inside the center console.
•On the front of the center console.
•On the rear of the center console.
•In the cargo area.
•On the passenger side floor panel.
•3rd row on the quarter trim panels.
Note:Some of the USB ports may not havedata transfer capabilities.
110 Volt AC Power Point (If Equipped)
WARNING: Do not keep electricaldevices plugged in the power pointwhenever the device is not in use. Do notuse any extension cord with the 110 voltAC power point, since it will defeat thesafety protection design. Doing so maycause the power point to overload due topowering multiple devices that can reachbeyond the 150 watt load limit and couldresult in fire or serious injury.
Note:The power point turns off when youswitch off the ignition, when the vehicle isnot in accessory mode or when the batteryvoltage drops below 11 volts.
You can use the power point for electricdevices that require up to 150 watts. It is onthe rear of the center console.

Auxiliary Power Points

When the indicator light on the power pointis:
•On: The power point is working, theignition is ON or the vehicle is inaccessory mode.
•Off: The power point is OFF, the ignitionis OFF or the vehicle is not in accessorymode.
•Flashing: The power point is in faultmode.
Due to the different technologies used onits construction, some devices may exceedthe capacity shown on its label when theyare initially plugged-in.
The power outlet temporarily turns off powerwhen in fault mode if the device exceeds the150 watt limit. Unplug your device andswitch the ignition off. Switch the ignitionback on, but do not plug your device backin. Let the system cool off and switch theignition off to reset the fault mode. Switchthe ignition back on and make sure theindicator light remains on.
Do not use the power point for certainelectric devices, including:
•Cathode-ray, tube-type televisions.
•Motor loads, such as vacuum cleaners,electric saws and other electric powertools or compressor-driven refrigerators.
•Measuring devices, which processprecise data, such as medical equipmentor measuring equipment.
•Other appliances requiring an extremelystable power supply such asmicrocomputer-controlled electricblankets or touch-sensor lamps.
WIRELESS ACCESSORY
CHARGING (IF EQUIPPED)
WARNING: Wireless chargingdevices can affect the operation ofimplanted medical devices, includingcardiac pacemakers. If you have anyimplanted medical devices, we recommendthat you consult with your physician.
Note:Devices without built-in Qi wirelesscharging receivers require an additional Qireceiver or sleeve.
The system supports one Qi wirelesscharging compatible device on the chargingarea.
Keep the charging area clean and removeforeign objects prior to charging a device.
Do not place items with a magnetic strip, forexample passports, parking tickets or creditcards, near the charging area when charginga device. Damage may occur to the magneticstrip.

Do not place metal objects, for exampleremote controls, coins and candy wrappers,on or near the charging area when charginga device. Metal objects may heat up anddegrade the charging performance.
Note:The rate of charge, or charging power,is controlled by the device. During charging,the device and the charger may heat up, thisis normal. If the battery gets hotter thanusual, the charger may stop charging.
The charging area is on the center consoleor lower instrument panel. See CenterConsole (page 189).
You can charge a device if the vehicle is offwhen in accessory mode or if SYNC is on.
To begin charging, place the device on thecenter of the charging surface with thecharging side down. The charging stops afteryour device reaches a full charge.
Note:If the system detects a foreign objector if the device is misaligned on the chargingarea, a message appears in the display.
