*2 Use FL22 type coolant in vehicles with the inscription “FL22” on t\
he radiator cap itself or the surrounding area. Use FL22 when replacing the coolant.
*3 According to state/provincial and federal regulations, failure to perfor\
m maintenance on these items will not void your emissions warranties. However, Mazda recommends that all maintenance services be performed at the
recommended time or mileage/kilometer period to ensure long-term reliabi\
lity.

Battery Maintenance
To get the best service from a battery:
 y Keep it securely mounted. y Keep the top clean and dry. y Keep terminals and connections clean,
tight, and coated with petroleum jelly or
terminal grease.
 y  Rinse off spilled electrolyte immediately
with a solution of water and baking
soda.
 y  If the vehicle will not be used for an
extended time, disconnect the battery
cables and charge the battery every six
weeks.
Battery Replacement
Contact an Authorized Mazda Dealer for a
battery replacement purchase.
Battery Replacement
If the buttons on the transmitter are
inoperable and the operation indicator
light does not fl ash, the battery may be
dead.
Replace with a new battery before the
transmitter becomes unusable.
