xIf a hands-free type mobile phone
has been the most recently paired
device, the Bluetooth
® unit links this
device. If you would like to use a
Bluetooth
® audio type device which
has been previously paired to the
Bluetooth
® unit, the link must be
changed to this device.
xIf an error occurs while trying to
link a device, “Err” flashes in the
display for 3 seconds, and the
display returns to “LINK
CHANGE”. If this occurs, check the
pairing status of the Bluetooth
®
audio device and the location of the
device in the vehicle (not in the
luggage compartment/boot or a
metal-type box), and then try the link
operation again.
xDevice selection can also be done
using voice recognition.

happens, reprogramme the pairing information to the Bluetooth
® unit.
xIf you pair your phone which has already been paired to your vehicle more than once in
the past, you need to delete “Mazda” on your mobile device. Then, execute the
Bluetooth
® search on your mobile device once again, and pair to a newly detected
“Mazda”.
xBefore you pair your device, make sure that Bluetooth® is “ON”, both on your phone and
on the vehicle.
xIf Bluetooth®-enabled devices are used in the following locations or conditions,
connection via Bluetooth
® may not be possible.
xThe device is in a location hidden from the unit such as behind or under a seat, or
inside the glove compartment.
xThe device contacts or is covered by a metal object or body.
xThe device is set to power-saving mode.
xDifferent Bluetooth®-enabled devices can be used for Bluetooth® Hands-Free and

xThe Bluetooth® system may not operate
for 1 or 2 minutes after the ignition is
switched to ACC or ON. However, this
does not indicate a problem. If the
Bluetooth
® system does not connect
automatically after 1 or 2 minutes have
elapsed, make sure that the Bluetooth
®
setting on the device is normal and
attempt to reconnect the Bluetooth
®
device from the vehicle side.
xIf Bluetooth®-enabled devices are used

xIf Bluetooth® audio is used after using Aha™ or Stitcher™ radio, the application on the
mobile device has to be closed first.

xEven if it is difficult for you to hear the operator's voice, your voice may be heard by the
call centre. Continue explaining your circumstances.
xIf the Mazda ERA-GLONASS operates while you are making a call with your mobile
phone using Bluetooth
® Hands-Free, the call may be interrupted.
xIt may not be possible to receive a call using the Bluetooth® Hands-Free normally while
the Mazda ERA-GLONASS is operating.
xA voice call with an operator may not be possible if the speaker or microphone is broken.
If the speaker or microphone is broken, always have the vehicle inspected at an
Authorised Mazda Repairer.
xThe Mazda ERA-GLONASS may not operate normally outside of the following
temperature range: If the Mazda ERA-GLONASS does not operate normally, make a call
from another telephone such as the nearest available public telephone.
Operation temperature range: -40 °C (-40 °F) to 85 °C (185 °F)
xThere may be a difference between the position information sent to the call centre and the
actual position of the vehicle where the call was made. Indicate landmarks around the
position of the vehicle where the call is being made to the operator during the voice call.

If an automatic call is made, the built-in battery power may be depleted and emergency calls
may not be possible in the event that an emergency occurs again. After an automatic
emergency call has been made, have the built-in battery replaced by an Authorised Mazda
Repairer.
NOTE
xAutomatic emergency calls cannot be cancelled by the user.
xThe call centre will end an emergency call. The user cannot end the emergency call.
xIf the vehicle receives an impact of a certain level or more in a collision, an automatic
call is made even if the air bags do not deploy.
xIf a call is disconnected or a call cannot be made to the call centre correctly, an automatic
call is made again to the call centre. Redialing cannot be cancelled.
