Overview of bag hooks
\nWARNINGRisk of injurywhen using baghooks with heavy objects
The bag hooks cannotrestrain heavy objectsor items of luggage.
Objects or items of luggage could bethrownaround andthereby hitvehicle occupantswhen braking or abruptlychanging direc‐tions.
Onlyhang light objects onthe baghooks.
Never hang hard, sharp-edged or fragileobjects onthe bag hooks.
Observethe notes on loadingthevehicle(page104).
The bag hooks can bear a maximum load of6.6 lbs (3kg). Do not usethemtosecure a load.

Adjusting the height of the EASY-PACK trunkboxtoany position
\nWARNINGRisk of becoming trappedand injured when movingthefloor up
Whenthefloor moves up,your hands maybecome trapped onthe frame ofthe EASY-PACK trunk box and objects may bethrownup.
Whenthefloor moves up, make surethatyour hands are not withinthesweep ofthefloor.
If someone becomes trapped, carefullypushthe center ofthefloor downward.
Removeall objects fromthefloorbefore moving it up.

Whenthe EASY-PACK trunk box is pressedintotheretracted position,your hands maybecome trapped. Children, in particular, mayinjurethemselves when doing so.
When pressingthe EASY-PACK trunkbox in, make surethatyour hands arenot withinthe sweep ofthe EASY-PACKtrunk box.
When leavingthevehicle, alwaystakethe SmartKeywithyou and lockthevehicle.
Never leavechildren unattended inthevehicle.

The EASY-PACK trunk box may be damagedwhen it isextended.
Do not place any objects on or pressdown onthe EASY-PACK trunk boxframe.
Do not closethe trunk lid whentheEASY-PACK trunk box isextended.
NOTEDamagetothe EASY-PACK trunkboxbyobjects
Objects which are sharp-edged, pointed,fragile,rounded or heavy and objectsthatroll can damagethe EASY-PACK trunk boxand bethrown out.
Do not transport objects which aresharp-edged, pointed,rounded or frag‐ile and objectsthatroll inthe EASY-PACK trunk box.
Alwaysstowand secure such objectsoutside ofthe box inthe trunk.
Always observethe maximum permittedload ofthe EASY-PACK trunk box.
Do not usethe EASY-PACK trunk boxwhentherear seats arefoldedfor‐wards.
The maximum permitted load ofthe EASY-PACKtrunk box is 22 lbs (10kg).Topreventthe boxfrom beingoverloaded,the boxfloor will lowerontothe trunkfloor whenthe loadreachesapproximately11lbs (5kg).

Ifthe handle inthe trunk is left protruding,the handle may be damaged.
Unhingethe handle beforeyou closethe trunk lid and pressthe handleclosed again.
Pull handle1up and hook it into driprail2.
Attachingtheroof carrier
\nWARNINGRisk of injuryifthe maximumroof load isexceeded
Whenyou loadtheroof,the center of gravityofthevehiclerises andthe usual drivingcharacteristics aswell asthesteering andbrakingcharacteristicschange. During cor‐nering,thevehicle tilts morestrongly andmayreact more sluggishlytosteering move‐ments.
Ifyouexceedthe maximumroof load,thedrivingcharacteristics, aswell asthesteer‐ing and brakingcharacteristics, will begreatlyimpaired.
Always comply withthe maximumroofload and adjustyour drivingstyle.

NOTEVehicle damage from non-approvedroofracks
Thevehicle could be damagedbyroofrackswhich havenot beentested and approvedbyMercedes-Benz.
Only useroofrackstested andapprovedbyMercedes-Benz.
Depending onthevehicle equipment,ensurethat whentheroofrackis instal‐led:RThe sliding sunroof can be fullyraised.
RThe trunk lid can be fully opened.
Positionthe load ontheroofrackinsuch awaythatthevehicle will not sus‐tain damageeven when it is in motion.
NOTEDamagetothe panoramic slidingsunroof when aroofrackisfitted
The panoramic sliding sunroof may be dam‐agedbytheroofrackifyou attempttoopenit whentheroofrackisfitted.
Do not openthe panoramic sliding sun‐roof if aroofrackisfitted.
In ordertoallowventilation ofthevehicleinterior,you canraisethe panoramic slidingsunroof.
NOTEDamagetothe sliding sunroofwhen aroofrackis installed
The sliding sunroof may be damagedbytheroofrackifyou attempttoopen it whentheroofrackis installed.
Do not openthe sliding sunroof whentheroofrackis installed.
In ordertoallowventilation ofthevehicleinterior,you canraisethe sliding sunroof.NOTEDamagetothe covers
The coversmay be damaged and scratchedwhen being opened.
Do not use metallic or hard objects.
Carefullyfold covers1upwards inthedirection ofthe arrow.

Cup holder
Installingthe cup holder in orremoving itfrom the center console (automatic trans‐mission)
\nWARNING‑ Risk of accident or injurywhen usingthe cup holder whilethevehicle is moving
The cup holder cannot secure containerswhilethevehicle is moving.
Ifyou use a cup holder whilethevehicle ismoving,the container may beflung aroundand liquids may be spilled. Thevehicle occu‐pants may come into contact withthe liquidand if it is hot,theycould be scalded.Yo ucould be distracted from traffic conditionsandyou may lose control ofthevehicle.
Only usethe cup holder whenthevehi‐cle isstationary.
Only usethe cup holderfor containersoftheright size.
Closethe container, particularlyiftheliquid is hot.
Toremove:slide catch2forwards and pullout cup holder1.
Toinstall:insert cup holder1and slideback catch2.
The cup holderrubber mat can beremovedfor cleaning, e.g. using clean, lukewarmwater.
Opening or closingthe cup holder inthereararmrest
NOTEDamagetotherear armrest
Whenfolded out,therear armrest can bedamagedbytheweight ofyour body.
Do not sit or supportyourself ontherear armrest.
NOTEDamagetothe cup holder
Whentherear armrest isfolded backthe cupholder could become damaged.
Onlyfoldtherear armrest back whenthe cup holder is closed.

Ashtray and cigarettelighter
Usingthe ashtrayinthe front center console
NOTEDamagetothestowage compart‐ment underthe ashtray
Thestowage compartment underthe ashtrayis not heatresistant and could be damaged ifyouresta lit cigaretteon it.
Make surethatthe ashtrayis fullyengaged.
Toopen:push up cover2ofthe ashtrayonitsright or left side.
Toremovethe insert:press insert1upwards slightly and pull it out upwards.
Tore-installthe insert:press insert1intothe holder until it engages.

While driving:placethe closed ashtray inthe front doorstowage compartment whiledriving.
Checkthat it is seatedfirmly.

Twistthetop part ofthe ashtraytoremoveitfor cleaning, e.g. with clear,lukewarmwater,orfor emptying.
Usingtherear passenger compartment ash‐tray
Toopen:pull cover2outbyitstop handleedge.
Toremovethe insert:pushribbing3fromthe left side and pull insert1upwards andout.
Toinstallthe insert:install insert1fromaboveand press down onthe holder until itengages.
Usingthe cigarettelighter inthe front centerconsole
\nWARNING‑ Risk offireand injury fromhot cigarettelighter
You can burnyourself ifyoutouchthe hotheating element orthe socket ofthe ciga‐rette lighter.
In addition,flammable materials may igniteif:
Ryou dropthe hot cigarettelighter
Rachild holdsthe hot cigarettelightertoobjects,forexample
Always holdthe cigarettelighterbytheknob.
Always make surethatthe cigarettelighter is out ofreach ofchildren.
Never leavechildren unattended inthevehicle.
Requirements:RThe ignition is switched on.
Press in cigarettelighter1.The cigarettelighter will pop out automati‐cally whenthe heating element isred-hot.

Using the12V socketinthe front centerconsole
Requirements:ROnly devices uptoa maximum of180 W(15 A) are permissible.
Lift up socket cap1.
Insertthe plug ofthe device.
Ifyou haveconnected a devicetothe12 Vsocket, leavethe cover ofthestowage compart‐ment open.
Usingthe12V socketintherear passengercompartment
Requirements:ROnly connect devices uptoa maximum of180 W (15 A).
Pull cover2outbyitstop handle edge.
Lift upthe cap on socket1.
