The wire‐less network connection is enabled viathevehi‐cle's transmission andreception unit or via con‐nected mobile end devices (e.g. smartphones).Online functions can be used viathe wirelessnetwork connection. Ifyou applythe brakeyourself in a critical situa‐tion or applythe brake during autonomous brak‐ing, situation-dependent braking assistanceoccurs. The brake pressure increases uptomax‐imum full-stop braking if necessary.
If autonomous braking or situation-dependentbraking assistance has occurred, display1appears inthe multifunction display andthenautomatically goes out after a short time.
Ifthe autonomous braking function orthe situa‐tion-dependent braking assistance is triggered,additional preventive measuresfor occupant
