The diagnos
tics connection is a technical inter-
face in the vehicle. It is used, for example, during
repair and maintenance work or for reading out
vehicle data in a specialist workshop. Diagnostic
devices should therefore only be connected in a
qualiNed specialist workshop. &

If you connect devices to the diagnostics con-
nection of t
he vehicle, the function of vehicle
systems and operating safety may be
impaired. 
For safety reasons, we recommend that

ou only use and connect products
approved by a Mercedes-Benz service

WARNING Risk of accident due t
o objects
in the driver&#39;s footwell
Objects in the driver&#39;s footwell may impede
pedal tr
avel or block a depressed pedal.
This jeopardises the operating and road safety
of the vehicle. 
Stow all objects in the vehicle securely
so t
hat they cannot get into the driver&#39;s
footwell. 
Always Nt t
he Ooor mats securely and as
prescribed in order to ensure that there
is always suPcient room for the pedals. 
Do not use loose Ooor mats and do no
t
place Ooor mats on top of one another. *

Connecting and using another device with the
diagnos tics connection can have the following
eMects:
= Malfunctions in the vehicle system
= Permanent damage to vehicle components
Please refer to the warranty terms and conditions
for this matter. Moreover, connecting equipment to the diagnos-
tics connection can lead t
o emissions monitoring
information being reset, for example. This may
lead to the vehicle failing to meet the require-
ments of the next emissions inspection during the

t workshop
A qualiNed specialist workshop has the necessary
special skills, tools and qualiNcations to correctly
carry out any necessary work on your vehicle.
This particularly applies to safety-relevant work.
Always have the following work carried out on
your vehicle at a qualiNed specialist workshop:
= Safety-relevant work
= Service and maintenance work
= Repair work
= ModiNcations as well as installations and con-
versions
= Work on electronic components
= Plug-in hybrid: work on the hybrid system =

ehicles with 48 V on-board electrical system:
work on the high-voltage component of the 48
V on-board electrical system

Inform Mercedes-Benz as soon as possible about
an
y change in address or vehicle ownership. You
can do this at a Mercedes-Benz service centre,
for example. Correct use of the vehicle

ou remove any warning stickers, you or others
could fail to recognise certain dangers. Leave
warning stickers in position.
Observe the following information in particular
when driving your vehicle:

When charging the high-voltage battery, keep a
dis
tance of at least an arm&#39;s length between the
medical aid and the following components:
= the power supply equipment
This includes charging stations in the form of a
wallbox or a public charging point, for exam-
ple.
= vehicle components carrying live voltage
This includes the charging cable and the
charging control box, for example.
Only have repairs and maintenance work in the
area of the following components carried out at a
qualiNed specialist workshop:
= vehicle components carrying live voltage
= transmission aerials
= multimedia system and sound system
