Ensure there is su1cient ground clear-
ance between the underbody and the
guide rails of the car wash. #
Ensure that the clearance width of the
car wash, in particular the width of the
guide rails, is su1cient. To
avo id damage toyour vehicle when using a car
wa sh, ensu rethefo llowing beforehand:
R Toavo id possible water ing ress in theve hicle,
it is preferable touse car washes which allow
th e high-pressure pre-cleaning tobe deactiva-
te d (speci/cation forth e cabriolet prog ram).
R Avoid any hot-wax treatment.
R Make sure that the wind de0ector on the wind-
screen has been retracted.
R Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC is deactiva-
te d.
R The HOLD function is switched o..
R The 360° Camera or there ve rsing camera is
switched o..
R The side windo wsand soT top are closed
comple tely. R
The blo werfo rth eve ntilation and heating is
switched o..
R The windsc reen wiper switch is in position g.
R The key is at a minimum dis tance of 3 m away
from theve hicle. Otherwise the boot lid could
open unintentionall y.
R For car washes with a con veyor system:
- Neutral iis engaged.
- Ifyo uwo uld like tolea vetheve hicle while
it is being washed, make sure theke y is
located in theve hicle. The park position
j isotherwise automatically engaged.
% If, aTer the car wash, youre mo vethewax
from the windscreen and wiper rubbers, this

The water jet can cause extern ally invisible
damage.
Components damaged in this wa y may un ex-
pectedly fail. #
Do not use a high-pressure cleaner with
round-spr aynozzles. #
Have damaged tyres or chassis parts
re placed immediatel y. To
avo id damage toyour vehicle, obser vethefo l-
lowing when using a high-pressure cleaner:
R The key is at a minimum dis tance of 3 m away
from theve hicle. Otherwise the boot lid could

R Maintain a distance of at least 30 cm tothe

Make sure there are no vibrations, noises or
unusual handling characteristics when theve hicle
is in motion. This may indicate that the wheels or
tyres are damaged. Hidden tyre damage could
also be causing the unusual handling characteris-
tics.
If yo u suspect that a tyre is defecti ve,re duce your
speed immediately and ha vethe tyres and wheels
ch ecked at a quali/ed specialist workshop. N No

Check the tyres regula rly fo r signs of
damage and replace any damaged tyres

ARNI NGRisk of aquaplaning due to
insu1cient tyre tread
Insu1cient tyre tread will result in reduced
tyre grip.
The risk of aquaplaning is increased on wet
ro ads, especially when the speed of theve hi-
cle is not adap tedto suit the conditions. #
Thus, you should regula rly ch eck the
tread dep thand the condition of the
tread across the entire width of all tyres.
Minimum tread dep thfor:
R Summer ty res: 3 mm
R M+S tyres: 4 mm #
For saf etyre asons, replace the tyres
before the legall y-prescribed limit forthe
minimum tread dep thisreached. Car
ryout thefo llowing checks on all wheels regu-
lar ly, at least once a month or as required, for
ex ample, prior toa long jou rney or driving o.-
ro ad:
R Check the tyre pressure (/ page 339). R
Visually inspect wheels and tyres for damage.
R Check theva lve caps.
R Visual check of the tyre tread dep thand the
tyre contact sur face across the entire width.
The minimum tread dep thfor summer tyres is
3 mm and for winter tyres 4 mm. N

These tyres are special lyadap tedto the active
saf ety sy stems, su chas ABS, ESP ®

4MATIC, and mar ked as follo ws:
R MO = Mercedes-Benz Original
R MOE = Mercedes-Benz Original Ex tended
(run-0at tyres only for cer tain wheels)
R MO1 = Mercedes-Benz Original (only cer-
ta in AMG tyres)
Otherwise, cer tain properties, such as han-
dling characteristics, vehicle noise emissions,
consu mption, etc. could be adversely a.ec-
te d. Furthermore, other tyre sizes could result
in the tyres rubbing against the body and axle
components when loaded. This could result in
damage tothe tyre or theve hicle. Only use tyres, wheels and accessories
that
ha ve been checked and recommended by
Mercedes-Benz. *
