Never refuel using gasoline of an even lower RON.*NOTE Premature engine wear through
unleaded regular gasoline
Impairment of the longevity and performance
of the engine.
If unleaded premium grade gasoline is unavail- able and you have to refuel using unleaded
regular gasoline:
Only Nll the fuel tank to half full with
unleaded regular gasoline and reNll as
soon as possible with unleaded premium
grade gasoline.Do not drive at the maximum design speed.Avoid sudden acceleration and engine
speeds over 3000 rpm.
Further information on fuel is available in the fol- lowing locations:

qInformation on additives in gasoline (vehicles
with gasoline engine)
Observe the notes on operating Ouids
( page 366).*NOTE Damage from use of unsuitable
additives
Even small amounts of the wrong additive may
lead to malfunctions occurring.
Only add cleaning additives recommen-
ded by Mercedes-Benz to the fuel.
Mercedes-Benz recommends that you use brand-
name fuels with additives.
In some countries, the fuel available may not have
suPcient additives. Deposits could build up in the
fuel injection system as a result. In this case, in consultation with a qualiNed specialist workshop
(e.g. an authorized Mercedes-Benz Service Cen- ter), mix the fuel with the cleaning additive recom-
mended by Mercedes-Benz. Observe the notes and mixing ratios indicated on the tank.

than those which meet the speciNcations
necessary for the prescribed service
intervals.Do not alter the engine oil or oil Nlter in
order to achieve longer change intervals than prescribed.Do not use additives.Have the engine oil changed aser the
prescribed intervals.Mercedes-Benz recommends having the oil
changed at a qualiNed specialist workshop.
Only use engine oils approved for your vehicle by

SAE viscosity class in each case; observe possible restrictions of
the approved SAE viscosity classes)
To achieve the lowest possible fuel consumption, it is recommended to use the engine oil speciNca-
tions marked in the table with the lowest SAE vis-
cosity class. Possible restrictions of the approved SAE viscosity classes must be observed.

Notes on brake Ouid
Observe the notes on operating Ouids
( page 366).
&WARNING Risk of an accident due to
vapor pockets forming in the brake system
The brake Ouid constantly absorbs moisture
from the air. This lowers the boiling point of
the brake Ouid. If the boiling point is too low,
vapor pockets may form in the brake system when the brakes are applied hard.
This causes the braking eMect to be impaired.
Have the brake Ouid renewed at the
speciNed intervals.370Technical data

Have the brake Ouid regularly replaced at a quali-
Ned specialist workshop.
Only use a brake Ouid approved by Mercedes-
Benz according to MB-Freigabe or MB-Approval 331.0.
