Front-passenger airbag

ual * The front passenger airbag will be enabled while the vehicle is in motion in the following situations:
= e
ven when a child, a small adult or an object weighing less than the system weight threshold is located on the front
passenger seat
= even when the front passenger seat is not occupied
The system may detect objects or forces that are adding to the weight applied to the seat. &
WARNING Risk of injur
y or death when using a child restraint system while the front passenger airbag is ena-
bled
If you secure a child in a child restraint system on the front passenger seat and the front passenger airbag is ena-
bled, t
he front passenger airbag can deploy in the event of an accident.
The child could be struck by the airbag. 
Ensure, both before and during the journey, that the status of the front passenger airbag is correct.
NEVER use a rearward facing child restraint on a seat protected by an ACTIVE AIRBAG in front of it, DEATH or
SERIOUS INJUR
Y to the CHILD can occur. 
Stop the vehicle immediately in accordance with the tr
aPc conditions. 
Make sure that no objects are trapped under the front passenger seat. 
Check the status of automatic front passenger airbag actuation (  pag
e 54).
If necessary, consult a q
