Overview of the permitted towing methods
*NOTE Damage caused by automatic brak-
ing
If one of the following functions is activated,
the vehicle brakes automatically in certain sit-
uations:

= HOLD function
= Active Parking Assist
To avoid damage to the vehicle, deactivate
these systems in the following or similar situa-
tions:
During towing.In a car wash.
Mercedes-Benz recommends transporting your vehicle in the case of a breakdown, rather than towing it away.
For towing, use a tow rope or tow bar with both
axles on the ground. Do not use tow bar systems.
If you notice that the vehicle has lost coolant, donot have it towed away. Have the vehicle transpor-
ted instead.

tem is malfunctioning.
= The energy supply or the on-board electri-
cal system is malfunctioning. In such cases, do not tow the vehicle.*NOTE Damage due to excessive tractive
power
If you pull away sharply, the tractive power
may be too high and the vehicles could be
damaged.
Pull away slowly and smoothly.

If required, raise the vehicle to transport
level again.A vehicle that cannot be raised to trans-
port level may not be loaded or unloaded using a ramp. Consult a qualiNed special-
ist workshop.&WARNING Risk of accident due to activa-
ted transport level
If the vehicle is raised to transport level, driv-
ing and driving safety systems have only limi-
ted availability and the view from the vehicle is restricted.
Driving safety is severely restricted and there
is a risk of an accident!Do not use transport level in normal road

Electrical fuses
Notes on electrical fuses
&WARNING Risk of accident and injury due
to overloaded lines
If you manipulate or bridge a faulty fuse or if
you replace it with a fuse with a higher amper-
age, the electric line could be overloaded.
This could result in a Nre.Always replace faulty fuses with speci-
Ned new fuses containing the correct
amperage.*NOTE Damage due to incorrect fuses
Using incorrect fuses can result in damage to
electrical components or systems or their functions being considerably restricted.
Use only fuses approved for Mercedes-
Benz with the respective speciNed fuse
rating.
Blown fuses must be replaced with fuses of the
same rating, which you can recognize by the color and the label. The fuse ratings and further infor-
mation to be observed can be found in the fuse
assignment diagram.
