% IfAc tive Blind Spot Assist is deactivated or
una vailable, the con venience doo rscannot be
opened from inside.
The following options are available for opening or
closing the front con venience doo rs:
R theke y (to open and close)
R approaching theve hicle (to open the driver's
door)
R depressing the brake pedal (to close the driv-
er's door)
R the inner front door handles (to open and
close)
R the outer front door handles (to open and
close)
R the multimedia system (/ page 92)Special

R If, when closing, the front door has reached

used as an additional safeguard. If an obstacle is
de tected, the con venience function is deactivated
and the moving door will be stopped. #

objects nor topersons or road users
approaching you at a greatly di.ering speed.
The exitwa rning cannot warndrivers in these

and make sure there is su1cient clear-
ance. The
exitwa rning is only an aid and not a substi-
tute forth e attention of vehicle occupants. The
re sponsibility for opening and closing the doors and
for leaving theve hicle remains with theve hi-
cle occupants.

If an obstacle obstructs a door during the auto-
matic opening process, bloc kage detection will
stop the door. The automatic bloc kage detection
function is only an aid and is not a substitute for

The doors are equipped with automatic bloc kage
de tection with a reve rsing function. If an obstacle
stops a door during the automatic closing proc-
ess, it will automatically open again. The auto-
matic reve rsing function is only an aid and is not a

During the closing process, make sure that no
body parts are in the closing area. &

The reve rsing function will not react:
