Depending on theve hicle's equipment, theve hi-

ing a mobile phone in the cockpit:

Place the mobile phone as close tothe centre
of mat 1as possible with the display facing
upwards.
When a message is shown in the multimedia sys-
te m, the mobile phone is being charge d. In addi-
tion, malfunctions during the mobile phone's
ch arging process are shown in the multimedia
system displa y.

switched on automatically depending on the light
conditions. &

of the lane in which you are driving will also be
ev aluated and the active headlamps function will

The bad weather light reduces re0ections in rainy
conditions bydimming individual areas of the
headlamps. The driver and other road users are
dazzled less as a result.
The city lighting function
The city lighting function
City lighting impr ovesth e illumination of roadsides
in urban areas using a broad distribution of light.
The function is active in thefo llowing cases:

Based on map data, the lighting system responds
pre-e mptively todi.erent road heights. This
means that the headlamp range remains virtually
cons tant when you are driving on uphill or down-
hill gradients. %

DIGITAL LIGHT visually expands on the driver
assistance systems byprojecting the assistant
displa ysin front of theve hicle while it is in
motion. DIGITAL LIGHT can therefore help the
driver in critical situations.

% The assistance functions of the DIGITAL

R The high beam is switched on.
% Depending on the country in which you are
cur rently driving, cer tain functions may be
disabled due todi.erent legal requ irements,
ev en if they are enabled in the multimedia
system. When a border is crossed, theve hicle
will automatically adapt totheva lid requ ire-

uation, a triangle will be projected onto thero ad
in thefo llowing situations at speeds of at least
30 km/h:
R You are driving in the opposite direction tothe

R You are driving towa rds a stop sign without
re ducing your speed.
R You are driving towa rds a red tra1c light with-
