Operate your vehicle in an environmentally
responsible manner to help protect the envi-
ronment. Please observe the following recom-
mendations on operating conditions and per-
sonal driving style.
Operating conditions: 
Make sure that the tyre pressure is cor-

Do not carry any unnecessary weight

ger need them). 
Adhere to the service intervals.

This is the case in the following situations:

This Owner's Manual and t

Manual in the vehicle describe the following mod-
els and the standard and special equipment for
your vehicle:
= The models and the standard and special
equipment available at the time of this Own-
er's Manual going to press.
= The models and the standard and special
equipment only available in certain countries. =
The models and t
he standard and special
equipment, which will only be available at a
later date.
Note that your vehicle may not be Ntted with all
features described. This is also the case for sys-
tems relevant to safety. Therefore, the equipment
on your vehicle may diMer from that in the
descriptions and illustrations.
The original purchase agreement for your vehicle
contains a list of the equipment in your vehicle at
the time of delivery.
Should you have any questions concerning equip-
ment and operation, please consult a Mercedes-
Benz Service Centre.

and the values are subject to a certain toler-
ance.
The Owner's Manual, Supplement, further supple-
ment
ary documents and Service Booklet are
important documents and should be kept in the
vehicle. Touch-sensitive controls
In addition t
o conventional switches and buttons,
your vehicle is equipped with touch-sensitive con-
trols.
These are located in the following areas of your
vehicle:
= Roof and door control panel
= Climate control
= Steering wheel
= MBUX multimedia system
The controls have touch-sensitive user interface
surfaces. The surfaces are controlled by pressing
or swiping to adjust settings or to trigger func-
tions, forexample.
When handling touch-sensitive user interface sur-
faces, observe the following points to avoid prob-
lems operating:
= Do not aPx stickers orsimilar objects on the
surfaces
= Keep the surfaces protected from moisture
and wet conditions General notes

K eep the surfaces free of dust and dirt
( page 396).
Some touch-sensitive control elements have a
symbol and integrated indicator lamps. When
operating, make sure to press on the symbol of

Notes about the on-demand feature
You can also activate various functions (on-
demand f
eature) subsequently via Mercedes me
aser purchasing your vehicle.
Information is available at any Mercedes-Benz
Service Centre. Activating on-demand feature using Mercedes me
Requirements:

= The vehicle is linked to the Mercedes me user
account. Ordering and activating on-demand feature

vehicle underbody or suspension compo-
nents In the following situations, in particular, there
is a r
isk of damage to the vehicle:
= the vehicle becomes grounded, e.g. on a
high kerb or an unpaved road
= the vehicle is driven too fast over an obsta-
cle, e.g. a kerb, speed bump or pothole
= a heavy object strikes the underbody or
suspension components
In situations such as these, damage to the
body, underbody, suspension components,
wheels or tyres may not be visible. Compo-
nents damaged in this way can unexpectedly
fail or, in the case of an accident, may no lon-
ger absorb the resulting force as intended. If the underbody panelling is damaged,

can collect between the underbody and the
underbody panelling. These materials may
ignite if they come into contact with hot parts
of the exhaust system.

Hybr

id vehicles have a combustion engine and at
least one electric motor. The energy supply for
operating the vehicle electrically is provided by
the high-voltage on-board electrical system. General notes

The vehicle's high-voltage on-board electrical
sy
stem is under high voltage. If you modify
component parts in the vehicle's high-voltage
on-board electrical system or touch damaged
component parts, you may be electrocuted. In
addition, modiNed and/or damaged compo-
nents may cause a Nre.
In the event of an accident or impact to the
vehicle underbody, components of the high-
voltage electrical system may be damaged
although the damage is not visible. 
Never make any modiNcations t
o the
high-voltage on-board electrical system. 
Do not switch on or use the vehicle if its
high-v
oltage on-board electrical system
components have been modiNed or dam-
aged. 
Never touch damaged components of

Vehicles with hybrid systems generate
signiN-
cantl y less noise when stationary and when being
driven than vehicles with combustion engines.
When driving in electric mode, the vehicle may
not be heard by other road users due to the signif-
icantly reduced noise generated.
It is for this reason that the vehicle is equipped
with a sound generator, which serves as an acous-
tic vehicle alerting system (AVAS).

Vehicles with a 48 V on-board electrical sys-

em contain individual high-voltage compo-
nents. These high-voltage components are
under high voltage.
If you modify component parts of these high-
voltage components or touch damaged com-
ponent parts, you may be electrocuted.
High voltage components may be damaged in
an accident, although the damage may not be
visible.

eras or driving and safety systems may mal-
function or fail.
Observe the following points when assembling
the licence plate on the front licence plate
holder: 
Assemble the licence plate directly on

he licence plate holder without advertis-
ing media or other holders. 
Assemble the licence plate so that it

t protrude above or to the side of
