Fording depth
*NOTE Damage caused by water when

In the following cases water can penetrate into
the engine compartment and vehicle interior:
= The maximum permissible fording depth is
exceeded when driving through standing
water.
= When driving through the water a bow
wave forms.
= Water accumulates when driving through
running water.
Do not exceed the maximum permissible
fording depth and drive slowly through the water.
The speci"Ned value indicates the maximum per-
missible fording depth for vehicles that are in roadworthy condition and for slow driving throughstanding water.

Display messages appear on the driver\bs display.
Display messages with graphical symbols are sim-
pli"Ned in the Operator\bs Manual and may di"Mer
from the symbols on the driver\bs display. The driv-
er\bs display shows high-priority display messages
in red. Certain display messages are accompa-
nied by a warning tone.
Please act in accordance with the display mes-
sages and follow the additional notes in the Oper-
ator\bs Manual.
