The functionality of AT TENTION ASSIST is
re st ri cted, and wa rn ings may be dela ye d or not
occur at all in th e fo llowing situations:R
If yo u ha ve been driving fo r less th an 30
minutes. R
If th e ro ad condition is poor (une ve n ro ad
sur fa ce or po th oles).R
If th ere is a stro ng side wind.R
If yo u adopt a sporty drivin g st yl e (high cor‐
nering speeds or high ra te s of acceleration).R
If th e St eering Assist function of Ac tive Dis‐
ta nce Assi st DISTRONIC is acti ve .R
If th e time has been set incor re ctly.R
In acti ve driving situations, if yo u ch ange
lanes and va ry yo ur speed frequentl y.
The AT TENTION ASSIST tiredness or alertness
assessment is dele te d and re st ar te d when con‐
tinuing th e journey in th e fo llowing situations:R
If yo u swit ch off th e engine. R
If yo u unfas te n yo ur seat belt and open th e
driver's door (e.g. ch ange drivers or ta ke a
break).

can be exc eeded before a wa rn ing is issued. Yo u
can specify whe th er th e wa rn ing is to be just a
visual wa rn ing or an acoustic one as we ll. If th e
