!An open glove compartment door can cause a seri-
ous injury or death to the front passenger in an acci-
dent, even if the passenger is wearing his/her seat
belt. Always keep the glove compartment door

For the rear seatThis cup holder is located in the rear seat arm rest (A).
Pull the rear arm rest down to use the cup holder.
Bottle holder

NOTEMake sure all lids are tightly closed when storing bever-
ages that are in plastic bottles, etc.
Some beverages may not be stored, depending on the size
and shape of the plastic bottles, etc.
There are bottle holders located on both sides of the front seats.
CAUTION
!Do not drink beverages while driving your vehicle.
This is distracting and could cause an accident.Vibration and shaking while driving may cause bev-
erages to spill. Be very careful, as spilling hot bever-
ages could cause burns.

3Rear shelf panel

To install1. Insert the concave portion (A) on the underside of the rear
shelf panel into the inside protruding portion (B) on both
sides of the luggage compartment.2. Hang the strap (C) of the rear shelf panel on the hook (D).
To removeFollow this procedure in reverse to remove.
WA R N I N G
!To avoid obstructing your rearward view, never
place anything on the rear shelf panel. In the event
of sudden braking or an accident, objects placed on
the rear shelf panel could strike occupants causing
injury.
WA R N I N G
!Lightly push the rear shelf panel to make sure that
the concave portion (A) is set firmly in the protrud-
ing portion (B) on both sides of the luggage com-
partment. Unsecured rear shelf panel can strike
occupants causing injury in the event of sudden
braking or an accident.

3 Dual height adjustable cargo floor board

To increase the capacity of the luggage compartment, the board
can be lowered.NOTEBefore handling the board, remove any luggage from the
luggage compartment.
When loading heavy luggage, the board must be set in the
lower position to avoid damage to the board.1. Raise the rear part of the board.
2. Pull the board toward you until the front part is lowered.
CAUTION
!The exhaust pipe remains hot for a while after stop-
ping the engine, so be sure not to touch it.Do not stand behind the exhaust pipe when loading
and unloading luggage. The heat from the exhaust
could cause burns.Handle the board with care so as to not injure your
fingers and your hands.

3. Push the board in all the way with the front part lowered,
then set the board into place.
4. Make sure the board is set firmly in place.
5. Follow this procedure in reverse to return the board to its
original position.
Assist grip

These grips are to support the body by hand while seated in the
vehicle.
CAUTION
!Do not use the assist grips when getting into or out
of the vehicle.
The assist grips could detach and cause an accident.

3 Coat hook

There is a coat hook on the rear seat assist grip of the driver’s
side.
WA R N I N G
!Do not put a hanger or any heavy or pointed object
on the coat hook. If the curtain airbag was activated,
any such item could be propelled away with great
force and could prevent the curtain airbag from
inflating correctly. Hang clothes directly on the coat
hook (without using a hanger). Make sure there are
no heavy or sharp objects in the pockets of clothes
that you hang on the coat hook.
