plate:
Before mounting the license plate, confirm that
the following parts are enclosed in the plastic
bag.
.License plate bracket
. J-nut 62
. Screw 62
. Screw grommet 62
1. Park the vehicle on flat, level ground. Locate the two dents
*Aon the front bumper.
Carefully drill two pilot holes using a 0.39 in
(10 mm) drill bit. (Be sure that the drill
only goes through the bumper fascia.)
2. Insert grommets into the hole on the bumper fascia.
3. Insert a flat-blade screwdriver into the
grommet hole to add 908 turn onto the part
*B.
4. Make sure the side end surface of the license plate bracket is aligned with the
bumper

Mark the center of the hole*Don both
sides with a felt-tip pen. Remove the bracket
from the bumper, and then open 0.9 to 1.0
inch (22 to 25 mm) diameter holes on the
bumper using the marks

5. Insert J-nuts into the license plate bracket before placing the license plate bracket on
the fascia.
6. Install the license plate bracket with screws.
7. Install the license plate with bolts that are no longer than 0.55 in (14 mm) .

Before mounting the license plate, confirm that
the following parts are enclosed in the vinyl bag.

1. Park the vehicle on flat, level ground.
2. Temporarily place the license plate bracket while aligning points

bracket.
3. Confirm that points

Hold the license plate bracket and mark the
points
*Con the bumper facia through the
center of the holes
*Dwith a felt-tip pen.
4. Remove the license plate bracket.

and*Cusing a 0.39 in (10 mm) drill bit at
the marked locations. (Be sure that the
drill only goes through the fascia.)
6. Insert grommets into the hole on the fascia.
7. Insert a flat-blade screwdriver into the

*E. 8. Insert a J-nut into the license plate bracket
before placing the license plate bracket on
the fascia.
9. Install the license plate bracket with the screws.
10. Install the license plate with bolts that are not longer than 0.55 in (14 mm) .

Left side
This vehicle is equipped with air deflectors in
front of the front wheels. The deflectors will
change the air flow to help improve aerodynamic
performance.
When transporting your vehicle on a trailer, the
air deflectors may interfere with a steep slope to
a trailer bed. In this case, remove the deflectors
from the undercover of the vehicle.
1. Loosen three screws as shown and removethe left-side air deflector
*A.
2. Tighten the removed screw
*Bin its
original position. 3. Perform the same procedure to remove the
right-side air deflector.
4. Store the two air deflectors and four screws to reinstall in the reverse order.
5. When reinstalling, make sure all six screws are firmly tightened on both air deflectors.

It is important to familiarize yourself with
the following terms before loading your
vehicle:
. Curb Weight (actual weight of your
vehicle) - vehicle weight including:
standard equipment, fluids, emer-
gency tools, and spare tire assembly. This weight
does notinclude pas-
sengers and cargo.
. GVW (Gross Vehicle Weight) - curb
weight plus the combined weight of
optional equipment, passengers and
cargo.
. GVWR (Gross Vehicle Weight Rat-
ing) - maximum total combined
weight of the unloaded vehicle, pas-
sengers, luggage, hitch, trailer tongue
load and any other optional equip-
ment. This information is located on
the F.M.V.S.S./C.M.V.S.S. label.
. GAWR (Gross Axle Weight Rating) -
maximum weight (load) limit specified
for the front or rear axle. This informa-
tion is located on the F.M.V.S.S./C.M.
V.S.S. label.
. GCWR (Gross Combined Weight
Rating) - The maximum total weight
rating of the vehicle, passengers,
cargo, and trailer.
. Vehicle Capacity Weight, Load limit,
Total load capacity - maximum total
weight limit specified of the load (passengers and cargo) for the vehi-
cle. This is the maximum combined
weight of occupants and cargo that
can be loaded into the vehicle. If the
vehicle is used to tow a trailer, the
trailer tongue weight must be in-
cluded as part of the cargo load. This
information is located on the Tire and
Loading Information label.
. Cargo capacity - permissible weight
of cargo, the weight of total occu-
pants weight subtracted from the
load limit.

Do not exceed the load limit of your
vehicle shown as ªThe combined weight
of occupants and cargoº on the Tire and
Loading Information label. Do not exceed
the number of occupants shown as
ªSeating Capacityº on the Tire and
Loading Information label.
To get ªthe combined weight of occu-
pants and cargoº, add the weight of all
occupants, then add the total luggage
weight. Examples are shown in the
illustration.Steps for determining correct load limit

1. Locate the statement ªThe combined
weight of occupants and cargo
should never exceed XXX kg or XXX
lbsº on your vehicle's placard.
2. Determine the combined weight of the driver and passengers that will be
riding in your vehicle.
3. Subtract the combined weight of the driver and passengers from XXX kg
or XXX lbs. 4. The resulting figure equals the avail-
able amount of cargo and luggage
load capacity. For example, if the XXX
amount equals 1400 lbs. and there
will be five 150 lb. passengers in your
vehicle, the amount of available cargo
and luggage load capacity is 650 lbs.

LOADING TIPS

.The GVW must not exceed GVWR or
GAWR as specified on the F.M.V.S.
S./C.M.V.S.S. certification label.
. Do not load the front and rear axle to
the GAWR. Doing so will exceed the
GVWR.
WARNING
.Properly secure all cargo to
help prevent it from sliding or
shifting. Do not place cargo
higher than the seatbacks. In a
sudden stop or collision, un-
secured cargo could cause
personal injury.
. Do not load your vehicle any
heavier than the GVWR or the
maximum front and rear GAWRs. If you do, parts of
your vehicle can break, tire
damage could occur, or it can
change the way your vehicle
handles. This could result in
loss of control and cause per-
sonal injury.
. Overloading could not only
shorten the life of your vehicle
and the tires, but also could
lead to hazardous vehicle
handling and long braking dis-
tance. This may cause a pre-
mature tire malfunction, which
could result in a serious acci-
dent and personal injury. Fail-
ures caused by overloading
are not covered by the vehi-
cle's warranty. MEASUREMENT OF WEIGHTS

Secure loose items to prevent weight
shifts that could affect the balance of
your vehicle. When the vehicle is loaded,
drive to a scale and weigh the front and
the rear wheels separately to determine
axle loads. Individual axle loads should
not exceed either of the gross axle
weight ratings (GAWR) . The total of the
axle loads should not exceed the gross
vehicle weight rating (GVWR) . These
ratings are given on the vehicle certifica-
tion label. If weight ratings are exceeded,
move or remove items to bring all
weights below the ratings.

ground is sometimes called flat towing. This
method is sometimes used when towing a
vehicle behind a recreational vehicle, such as a
motor home.
CAUTION
.Failure to follow these guidelines
can result in severe transmission
damage.
. Whenever flat towing your vehicle,
always tow forward, never back-
ward.
. DO NOT tow any automatic trans-
mission vehicle with all four wheels
on the ground (flat towing) . Doing
so WILL DAMAGE internal transmis-
sion parts due to lack of transmis-
sion lubrication.
. For emergency towing procedures
refer to ªTowing recommended by
NISSAN (except for NISMO mod-
els)º (P.6-20) of this manual.
AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONGUID-21032A3C-932E-4072-9667-FA2CAD191E8CTo tow a vehicle equipped with an automatic
transmission, an appropriate vehicle dolly MUST
be placed under the towed vehicle's drive
wheels. Always follow the dolly manufacturer's
recommendations when using their product.
MANUAL TRANSMISSIONGUID-8F862C4B-4E77-46AF-A267-BB3D3E9E681A. Always tow with the manual transmission in
Neutral.
. Your vehicle speed should never exceed 70
MPH (112 km/h) when flat towing your
vehicle.
. After towing 500 miles, start and idle the
engine with the transmission in Neutral for
two minutes. Failure to idle the engine after
every 500 miles of towing may cause
damage to the transmission's internal parts.

Grades: All passenger car tires must conform to
federal safety requirements in addition to these
grades.
Quality grades can be found where applicable
on the tire sidewall between tread shoulder and
maximum section width. For example:
Treadwear 200 Traction AA Temperature A
TREADWEARGUID-EBD3F3AF-74FA-4332-AA15-3B9E01A51FFFThe treadwear grade is a comparative rating
based on the wear rate of the tire when tested
under controlled conditions on a specified
government test course. For example, a tire
graded 150 would wear one and one-half (1
1/2) times as well on the government course as
a tire graded 100. The relative performance of
tires depends upon actual conditions of their
use, however, and may depart significantly from
the norm due to variations in driving habits,
service practices and differences in road char-
acteristics and climate.
TRACTION AA, A, B AND CGUID-77FAD5AD-8EC3-4E81-978B-00D40AD98203The traction grades, from highest to lowest, are
AA, A, B and C. Those grades represent the
tire's ability to stop on wet pavement as
measured under controlled conditions on spe-
cified government test surfaces of asphalt and
concrete. A tire marked C may have poor
traction performance.
WARNING
The traction grade assigned to this tire
is based on straight-ahead braking
traction tests, and does not include
acceleration, cornering, hydroplaning,
or peak traction characteristics.
TEMPERATURE A, B AND CGUID-BBEBDBD5-A2E0-4A4D-9AA5-A82F3FBAD2EFThe temperature grades A (the highest) , B, and
C, representing the tire's resistance to the
generation of heat and its ability to dissipate
heat when tested under controlled conditions on
a specified indoor laboratory test wheel. Sus-
tained high temperature can cause the material
of the tire to degenerate and reduce tire life, and
excessive temperature can lead to sudden tire
failure. The grade C corresponds to a level of
performance which all passenger car tires must
meet under the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety
Standard No. 109. Grades B and A represent
higher levels of performance on the laboratory
test wheel than the minimum required by law.
WARNING
The temperature grade for this tire is
established for a tire that is properly
inflated and not overloaded. Excessive
speed, under-inflation, or excessive
loading, either separately or in combi-
nation, can cause heat build-up and
possible tire failure.
