When theignition switchisin the ªONº position,
the All-Wheel Drive(AWD) warning lightwill
illuminate. Itwill turn offsoon aftertheengine is
started.
If the AWD system malfunctions orthe revolu-
tion orradius ofthe front andtherear wheel
differs, theAWD warning lightwilleither remain
illuminated orblink. (SeeªAll-Wheel Drive

Anti-lock BrakingSystem
(ABS) warning light

When theignition switchisin the ON position,
the Anti-lock BrakingSystem(ABS)warning
light illuminates andthen turns off.This indicates
the ABS isoperational.
If the ABS warning lightilluminates whilethe
engine isrunning, orwhile driving, itmay
indicate theABS isnot functioning properly.
Have thesystem checked byaNISSAN dealer.
If an ABS malfunction occurs,theanti-lock
function isturned off.The brake system then
operates normally,but without anti-lock assis-

the light warns ofalow brake fluidlevel. Ifthe
light illuminates whiletheengine isrunning with
the parking brakenotapplied, stopthevehicle and
perform thefollowing:
1. Check thebrake fluidlevel. Ifbrake fluidis
necessary ,add fluid andhave thesystem
checked byaNISSAN dealer.(SeeªBrake
and clutch fluidº(P.8-12) .)
2. Ifthe brake fluidlevel iscorrect, havethe
warning systemchecked byaNISSAN
dealer.
Anti-lock BrakingSystem(ABS)warning

Halogen headlight model:

The headlight isasemi-sealed beamtypewhich
uses areplaceable headlight(halogen) bulb.
CAUTION
. Do not leave thebulb outofthe
headlight reflectorforalong period
of time. Dust, moisture, smoke,etc.
entering theheadlight bodymay
affect bulbperformance.
. High pressure halogengasissealed
inside thehalogen bulb.Thebulb
may break ifthe glass envelope is
scratched orthe bulb isdropped.
. Only touch thebase when handling
the bulb. Never touchtheglass
envelope. Touching theglass envel-
ope could significantly affectbulb
life and/or headlight performance.
. Aiming isnot necessary afterrepla-
cing thebulb. When aiming adjust-
ment isnecessary, contacta
NISSAN dealer.
Use thesame number andwattage asoriginally
installed asshown inthe
chart.
