Pulling up the wiper arm:
The windshield wipers must be in the service
position in order to replace the wiper blades.
To move the wiper blades to the service position,
follow this procedure:
.When the ignition switch is in the “ON”
position or within 60 seconds of placing the
ignition switch to the “OFF” position, lift the
lever up
*4two times in less than 0.5
seconds. The windshield wipers will move to
the service position automatically, and the
wiper blades can now be replaced. To
replace the wiper blades, see “Windshield
wiper blades” (P.8-15).
To move the wiper blades back to the original
position:
. Lift the lever up
*4or push the lever down
to operate at any wiper speed.

If the rear window wiper operation is
interrupted by snow or ice, the wiper may
stop moving to protect its motor. If this
occurs, turn the wiper switch to the OFF
position and remove the snow or ice that is
on and around the wiper arms. In approxi-
mately 1 minute, turn the switch on again
to operate the wiper.

To defog/defrost the rear window glass and
outside mirrors (if so equipped) , start the engine
and push the switch
*1on. The indicator light
*2will illuminate. Push the switch again to turn
the defroster off.
It will automatically turn off in approximately 15
minutes.

Be sure not to put anything on top of the
photo sensor
*1located on the top of the
instrument panel. The photo sensor con-
trols the autolight; if it is covered, the
photo sensor reacts as if it is dark and the
headlights will illuminate.
Automatic headlights off delay
You can keep the headlights on for up to 45
seconds after you place the ignition switch in the
OFF position and open any door then close all
the doors.

Daytime running light system (for NISMO
models and Canada)
The daytime running lights automatically illumi-
nate when the engine is started with the parking
brake released. The daytime running lights
operate with the headlight switch in the OFF

WARNING
Do not use or allow occupants to use
the seat heater if you or the occupants
cannot monitor elevated seat tempera-
tures or have an inability to feel pain in
body parts that contact the seat. Use of
the seat heater by such people could
result in serious injury.

The heater is controlled by a thermostat,
automatically turning the heater on and off.
The indicator light will remain on as long as
the switch is on.
When the vehicle’s interior is warmed, or
before you leave the vehicle, be sure to turn
off the switch.
