. Ifthe engine isoverheated, continuedop-

CAUTION:
On manual Transmission (MT)model, donot
shift tothe ªNº (Neutral) positionwithout
depressing theclutch pedalwhenthecruise
control isoperated. Shouldthisoccur, depress
the clutch pedalandturn thecruise control MAIN
switch offimmediately. Failuretodo somay
cause engine damage.

cancel automatically .The CRUISE indicator light
on the meter panelwillthen blink towarn the
driver.
. Ifthe engine coolant temperature becomes
excessively high,thecruise control system will
cancel automatically .
. Ifthe CRUISE indicator lightblinks, turnthecruise
control MAINswitch offand have thesystem
checked byaNISSAN dealer.
. The CRUISE indicator lightmayblink when the
cruise control MAINswitch isturned ONwhile
pushing theRESUME/ACCELERA TE,SET/
COAST orCANCEL switch.To properly setthe
cruise control system, perform thefollowing
procedures.
CRUISE CONTROL OPERATIONS

The cruise control allowsdriving atspeeds above40
km/h (25MPH) without keeping yourfootonthe
accelerator pedal.
The cruise control willautomatically becanceled ifthe
vehicle slowsdownmorethanapproximately 13km/h
(8 MPH) below thesetspeed.
Moving theshift lever tothe ªNº (Neutral) position
(Continuously Variable Transmission model)ordepres-
sing theclutch pedal(Manual Transmission model)will
cancel thecruise control andtheCRUISE indicator
light willturn off.

Setting cruising speed

1. Accelerate tothe desired speed.
2. Push theSET/COAST switchandrelease it.
3. Take your footoffthe accelerator pedal.
The vehicle willmaintain thesetspeed.
Passing anothervehicle:

Depress theaccelerator pedaltoaccelerate. After
releasing theaccelerator pedal,thevehicle willreturn
to the previously setspeed.
The vehicle maynotmaintain thesetspeed when
